Hi all,

I would like to know after brake pads are remove from the front or rear brake pump of a S4 spec1,

1) will brake fluid flow out if I kept pressing the brake lever until the round pistol drop out?

2) what is the best method to push back the pistols without damaging them

Thank you

1 - yes, once the piston is out, the fluid will flow out.

2 - change to new seal since the piston is out. then put the new seal in the brake fluid. and place the seal in the correct sequence. there is different thickness, and rub some brake fluid on the piston and slowly work it in.

nv use other lub or water. use purely brake fluid.

if u wan u can open up the caliper and also change the small o ring in it.

Hi all, i need some advice/assistance of any electronics expertise here on my signal lights... :)

Currently, i'm riding a Spec 1 with front signal lights using the dual filament bulb. (Pilot and Signal lights)

the wiring for my signal lights is 3 wires, 1 for ground, 1 for pilot light 12volts, and 1 for signal light 12volts.

i wanna mod the signal lights to LED strips but using my original signal light housing.

i thinking to mod the supply wiring from 2 wires to 1 wire with a 12volts diode.

pls refer to pic below...

is it possible to install the 12volts diode in the path of the signal light before connecting to the pilot light supply circuitry so i can use only 1 LED strip for both pilot and signal lights?

Thanks for all replies in advance! :thumb:

I tried cutting bro. But there were a lot of dents and i din manage to cut the bottom portion. Can you teach me how?

Anyway, my friend passed me his one of a kind radiator cover, he (greentea yeh) told me, you wanted. The one from taiwan? You want? I am supposed to sell it off for him.

do u have any good polish product to recommend? has been using wax on my bike for years, and the paint work is starting to look old... hope that polish can retore a bit more shine on it,

thank you, goodnight.

cos i prefer the LED strips. possible to do this?

i heard from a fren telling me to get power diode and install in the below diagram...

Was told in this way, both the diodes protects the circuitry before the diodes.

also the rear signal will not light up when in pilot mode (which was what i wanted it to be)...

possible.

juz take any brake light and break the bulb

juz take the connector and solder them to the resistor before going to the led.

but more most led strip. u can tap a 12v straight. so juz do the correct soldering u shld be able to use them as it is.

also why need to protect the circuit using diodes.

unless u are using zener diodes which can restrict the current flow to be only 1 way.

ok.

currently i have stock condition front and rear signal lights using light bulbs.

single filament for the rear and dual filament for the front. (for my case, Spec 1)

what i have in mind now is to mod the front signal from bulb to LED strip but keeping the rear bulbs untouched.

for the front signals, it's dual filament.

i want to convert it to single filament so i can use 1 LED strip for both the pilot and signal indication.

i was told that i can simply connect both the front signal and pilot supply wire together and connect to a LED strip.

but in this way, when in pilot mode, the rear signal lights will also light up as the left and right indication wiring are in parallel connection.

by using diodes in the above connection shown in the pic,

- when in pilot mode, only the front LED strip lights up.

- the rear bulb will not light up as the diode in the path of signal light supply is in the forward direction to restrict current back flow to the signal wiring.

--------------------------------------------

if i were to put it in another term, i just want to convert my front signal lights from Dual filament bulb to Single filament bulb, just like Spec 3 front signal light.

able to catch what i'm trying to convey...??? :sian:

if i were to buy zener diode, what is the current rating i should be buying?

to what i know, diodes comes in rating of volts and milliamps...

12volts but what's the rating for the current?
