Uncle Desmond ... haha looks like i owe you one mac treat liao ...

I think I got a bit of enlightenment from the picture .. anybody anybody please please correct me if i am wrong :thumb:

In the pic, no. 24 corresponds to The Ducati Energia Brevattato = the rave, as to what does it do arh .... :faint: - trying to find out now

In the pic, no. 2 corresponds to our rectifier = they call the voltage regulator, 43.08 pounds

In the pic, no. 10 corresponds to our relay = they call the flasher unit

In the pic, the last square thing at the tail near the number 20 should be the CDI???

http://i698.photobucket.com/albums/vv342/BallerinaRose_2009/ElectricalSystems2.jpg

The thing, just now we unplug to test see what it is arh, is actually a positive solenoid valve. With the soleniod hor, "Valve opening and closing are controlled by a solenoid valve that, due to a potential difference, magnetically draws the piston connected to valve cable. It pulls a cable which is connected to the powervalve blade to pull it out to increase the gap in the exhaust outlet." (quoted from website) :faint: - KIV to understand

But hor, the presence of a solenoid in the bike is to control the powervalve blade. So if my bike does not have a powervalve blade (most likely not one), then what is the solenoid used for? :sian: But than again, the solenoid, when installed, is connected to the powervalve blade one ... so cannot be install the solenoid without the powervalve blade ... :faint::faint::faint: let me search for the things tomorrow

http://i698.photobucket.com/albums/vv342/BallerinaRose_2009/WaterCooler.jpg

Ah ... and yes, if the radiator spoil, it would cost me 245.39 pounds .... (bleeding from my CNY angpaos liao)

The bottomline is hor, my bike is halfway de-restricted only ... :faint::faint::faint: - according to http://www.tjtuning.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=65

1) CDI not de-restricted

2) Dont have a powervalve installed in bike (not that sure though, must check again)

3) Carburettor not change to 34mm one

4) Exhaust not derestricted

5) Spark Plug still the small one (because WHEN YOU DERESTRICT YOUR BIKE YOU WILL NEED TO CHANGE YOUR SPARK PLUG OTHERWISE YOU WILL BLOW A HOLE IN YOUR PISTON.)

Impressive technicalities learnt from your bike.... so what are you trying to find out? Want to make your bike go faster?

Maybe we start simpler .. :cheeky: - what is a rave unit arh? What does it do?

1stly.. yes.. you own me at least 3 meals.. one.. i havent eat since morning!! now den i realise... :(

2nd, number 20 is the CDI and correct.. all the numbers you quote is correct.. :)

3rd, positive solenoid valve is to be keep in place.. else your valve open will be slower.. the only good part is your opening of valve can be "controlled" if you take out.. else it will rev up higher.. and of cuz.. take out might cause your bike to be "over-rev" or under rev.. *i assume*

4th, radiator bring and check it out once you got your license.. I can bring you to my mech.. but.. please be early.. late comers will not be entertained first..

5th ,rave unit- control your valve... i've check it out liaoz..

Kindly read thru at least the intro section first before decide to post any comments.... thanks...

ai say ... "ADJUSTED" one har ... :sian: - means I've to KIV some more things (like adjust what and how adjust :faint: lol ... )

like that from the picture on the website (http://www.tjtuning.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=65), the solenoid picture shows that the solenoid is connected to a powervalve blade and then installed in the bike. This means that most likely my bike inside got a powervalve blade ? :dozed: - tomorrow must go see see again

haha... no worries la.. its good to see people with a healthy interest in the operations of bikes.

Knowledge is slowly accumulated.

1) ok, i've done some identification of the previously unknown parts of my bike ... temporarily

2) Today also, :faint:, encountered one problem when changing gear from neutral to first, the bike will, quite often than not, stall :dozed: ... This might be a clutch-plates-chui problem.

But the aprilia forum says "Our clutch plate do not wore out so easily, it can last very long. Unless you always drag your first gear for very long time everytime you move off." But i really wont know how much the previous owner drag gear ... Some other symptons of clutch plates damage are:

-false neutrals - Dont have

-bike rolling forward when clutch in and engage gear 1 - Dont have

-bike needs to rev higher to attain certain speed which could be reached with lower rev previously. - not in a position to confirm

Uncle, today you adjust my clutch cable a bit? become looser?

Lessons:

1) Dont panic. Panic make you cannot use brain

2) Dont dream on the road :faint: ...

3) Look at where you're going and your own bike ... dont peep at others one :dot:

Clutch plate not so easy chui.. but now it's CONFIRM chui.. tested and proven by ME.. Part time mech.. :D

cause.. NO Neutral...

brake cannot roll in front because I've adjust your clutch..

bike NEEDS to rev MIN RPM 3 to move forward.. n need to get at least RPM 3.5 to maintain speed else will die off..

yuppie.. clutch cable has been adjusted so that your bike can maintain "alive" after kicking gear 1.. not loosen.. is tighten..

lastly.. listen to the sound of your bike.. dun keep on see rpm like me.. lolx.. cause i see/hear both..

Kindly read thru at least the intro section first before decide to post any comments.... thanks...
