Recently, I encountered a few problems on my bike.

 

Namely:

 

1) Bike tends to die during heavy rain. It's like spluttering and gasping for breath. I suppose it's the spark plug cap for the solution?

 

2) When I clutch in and change gears from 6th to 1st when stopping at stop light, I get this buzzing sound when i change from 2nd to 1st gear. Sometimes, I catch false neutral and get some really buzzing sensation from the gear lever. Any idea how can I fix this?

 

3) My bike's carb tuning is screwed. It's very revvy and powerful for acceleration but the top speed has suffered greatly. Can the mechanic do something about this?

1. you should know my answer... :smile:

 

2. this is a little more serious... you probably need to let ah chong to try ride your bike... if the gearbox show signs of damage... it must be rectified before it result in something worse...

 

3. a carb cannot be adjusted to increase acceleration and decrease top speed... but since phantom is a single cylinder bike... you should realise that its punchy at the bottom and a little breathless at the top...

bros i am looking for a mini windshield and if you have watched the biker gang show , " sons of anarchy" will know that the bikers got this front windshield on their choppers. you all know where to get and the cost of it ? thanks !

haha, no la bro... he'll cut it then he'll remove any broken or lose pieces inside... then he'll weld it back... ur exhaust will look e same... :)

 

i think e shorter exhausts u see are from e phantom ta 150 bike... :)

the "short exhaust" i saw belongs to a ta200. which model i am not sure. but its the round end can.... i'll try to snap a pic.

i doubt thr's any 'short exhaust' for ta200..

i guess th one you saw nd comapred with is a ta200 custom 4 nd a ta150. both has th round kinda pipe..

 

take a look at this 3 pic.. notice th red circles.

this is a TA150, round pipe nd radiator. very obvious otr, with th 'bee hive' (radiator) its definitely a TA150.

this is a TA200 custom4, it has a round pipe which look alil like TA150, but its longer nd th default angle is different, TA150 facing out TA200c4 facing down.

this is a TA200 (idk custom wht) but i call it th old model. (correct me pls.)

notice th 4 circles,

pipe - custom4 has a round one, old model has a tapered one.

logo - just a new logo which look more aerodynamic.

handlebar - custom4 stock handlebar is slightly wider thn th old model. (by 2 or 3inch)

fork - custom4 has a 'thicker' fork.

 

im comparing all stock here..

correct me if any of my infos are wrong, seniors. (:

Fixed my bike! Ah chong helped me change the spark plug cap and all was good. :D Met silent hunter, ahcaibiker and his brother over there too! What a good day.

ta200 with round pipes is normally the newer phantoms.. Fz to FBA range..

 

where the rectangle pipe belong to older phantom.. Old phantoms look nicer as the logo also big and nice!
