Hi guys,

My TA200 can't start out of the blue last week and had it checked; turns out it was a faulty starter motor and need replacement.

Costs me $235 inclusive of workmanship. Can't find this item on the consolidated price list in this thread, any idea wether this is a fair price ?

Thanks!

To my knowledge starter motor just need to change the carbon when it wears out. As the only wear and tear part is just the carbon/solenoid which would cost at most $50 with workmanship. Unless you had electrical problems on your bike, I wouldn't see a reason for u to be charged over $100. Definitely a rip off. Do share the name of the shop so everyone can avoid going there.

Hi Phantom kaki,

Do u all have any good bike shop recommend in west side? Tks.

Ah Koon. 61 Lengkok Bahru. Good service, good prices. For more advanced repairs, do call to check if Ah Koon himself is around, if not it might be his father manning the shop alone

anyone knows where to chop rear fender of phantom? or which fender i can buy that are shorter? Thanks!

Can enquire at Ah Koon bro... he can bring in lots of stuffs but nowadays the speed is lacking... I think because demand is slow so he cant consolidate shipment as frequently as last time. He's manning the shop alone now so if he's out to get parts etc, only the mum will be there or shutters down. Best is to call him before coming down

Liverpool revival has started....
