Buying 2nd hand 2B, need to check if any outstanding summons in Malaysia?

Hi, sorry, just got 2B ard 2 months back,

planning to buy 2nd hand bike for work, some sight-seeing, and definitely jb shopping when i move to woodlands in 3 yrs time,

 

very curious, for 2nd hand bikes, if i should check if the plate number got any outstanding summons in jb,

wouldn't want to be pulled up by the jpj or whatever they call their lta equivalent over the causeway,

how to be sure that i wouldn't get into a mess over these stuff?

where to check? online?

do shops do these kinds of checks for u when they sell 2nd hand bikes?

i think it costs ard 1.3k to change number plates, am i rite?
