Yap, very futuristic look. So far so good. Mine looks slightly different from the pic, the air vents are chrome colour. Maybe the lighting in the photo doesn't allow the chrome to show.

Uses Metal D-rings. But didn't know the lining can be removed.

Price $200, bargained until $180

Like the others said, no PSB yet, but got Australia approve.

Weights slightly heavier than my other Rjay full face helment.

Dear Riders i bought RJay Flip at reginna.bought for $180.its nice n the design is different. I wore for one of my trip.at high speed its stable.does not wobbles the inner lining also not the fibre kind wch comes out after certain tym. . I bought size S as the M was abit loose. the outlook too big for my head. n looks odd. so i sold it.other than tat its not a bad helmet.afordable n looks good. ITs from Australia so has the Australia tested sticker.

Ya, have to agree, the helmet looks very big on my head.

Ok, a piece of sad news, I got my first 2 scratchs on the helmet.

1 from putting inside box, think box too small, when closed kenna scatched

2 scratch on visor when knock into a pillar while bending down to open the box. (Helmet was opened)

how many people buying it??

care to go buy together or with a group?

i am also interested....

Price should be around the range of 180 - 200.

Im not organising any mass order, juz going to walk in and buy. Dun tink there will be much difference in price between MO and walk in unless u are buying 5 helmets and above.

So what type of catch does it have? is it metal or plastic? Also, are both sides of the catch metal or only one side? No point having one side metal and the other plastic right? An object is only as strong as its weakest point.

good helmet... saw the quality... very nicely done.

cushion comfy.. full face wearing very windy face while riding...

open face riding is not reccomended, too high pitch wind noise.

plastic catch, good enough...

some prefer metal ones... but law of science suggests that it takes another HARDER object to cut the object... which is why we use diamond to cut so many things.

my take on plastic catch is that... plastic wont cut plastic... thus why it remains TIGHT over time.

but anyway.. only time will tell

U bought it?

Care to give some comments on the helmet after using?

Tink Arcfire's concern is the plastic catch might not be able to withstand sudden impact and will cause the front part to flip up, thus exposing the rider's chin against tarmac.

comments on the helmet is similar to last post... lemme re-organise it..

Cushion: Good quality cushion in the helmet. snug fit yet very comfy... wear to know what i meant...

Wind noise: closed down visor down, wind noise is slight. flipped up wind noise is very high pitch...

Weight: might feel heavy on hand, but once you wear on the head, the comfy cushion complements the weight. no neck problems from initial use.

Flip mechanism: Open to debate, like some highlighted... they prefer metal catch in the flip up chin. 3 position flip up/down action. generally works well.. very tight cos new (duh)...

Air vents: air vents and air cooling system works very well... riding at night causes my face to feel cold...

Overall quality of the helmet is very good for its price range.

though i bought the rjays BEFORE i viewed other flipups, i still think rjays is a better buy in the price range of under 200.

Yeah, it also depends on what the other part of the catch is made of.

If one side is metal the other side is plastic then its still only as strong as plastic.

If both are metal then the weakest part is how or what the entire catch mechanism is attached to.

yeah... thats what i was trying to paint earlier as well...

metal MIGHT just rip the plastic away upon impact becos metal is harder then plastic...

but even if both sides are metal, the question of how the metal piece is embedded into the helmet plastic is also questionable.

what if the catch breaks away from the helmet ??

basically there're too many 'what-if' scenarios..

2 cents for everyone.
