Rjays Tourtech Flipup Helmet Anyone?

The thing that puzzle me is that among all the Rjay helmets model

Tour-tech, according to the website is the most expensive, but here, it is the cheapest ????

 

and if you compare it to the m-fizz flip helmet, its very similar ..

Correct me if I'm wrong, but M-fizz is LAB's house brand???

Guys, i just bought my Rjays Tourtech helmet yesterday.

 

I would say i got a good price as me and my friend bought a total of 4 helmets. Somemore still got free zipper helemt bag and coolmax head cap.

 

Ya, all the PSB approved ones comes with the black duct tape. I peel it off immediately liao... Everything looks ok underneath it, no unpleasant surprises

i went to have a look at this helmet you all were saying and the guy quoted me $150.

 

however I didn't buy, as i'm contemplating betwn this and the Nolan one.

 

anyone can advice on the difference betwn this 2 pls?

hi i guess u all are wondering why the different price. when i first ask i was indeed quoted with $150 but the next time i went he quoted me $220 which after haggling I bought at $200. I asked why such a big difference and the guy said its a new shipment and its PSB approved already so more ex. Anyway this was another guy. Maybe you all don't believe but I know its the truth that happens to me.

 

I also realised I was 'chop' since some of you said you could get it at $180.

It business ... they (LAB & family) choose not to stick price tag, price varies according to our face ... so like buy Toto & 4D lah ...

sometime win; sometime looses....

 

BUT we can also choose to bring our business else where ..

I kanna chop a few time there, also got a few good deals thyere ...

cannot always win one lah ...

 

Anyway, price of S$150 to S$200/- is very good for Rjay Tourtech

can't get it cheaper anywhere else in the the world ...

 

This price range, can only get local house brand helmet (Mfizz / Zues etc)

Rjay is an interenational brand, good price good price already ...

I'm wondering this.

Will the pivot screw for the flip-up loosen after time?

I have this problem with my last 2 flip-ups.

If the screw does not loosen up after time and flipping repeatedly, am considering this helmet for my wife...

does regina have an rjays demo flip-up to test its durability during chin- first impact hehe?coz a fren told me the face of the helmet might break open during fullface position in a high impact fall if the locking mechanism weakens over time? any1 exp this b4?this is the reason y id want to get a fullface instead...

Did you open the helmet to put on like an open face?

 

Anyway, I had the same experience as you.

The helmet is new that's all.

 

After some time, the material will losen and become easier to wear.

Practice opening the sides of the helmet by bending the sides until parrallel and put on.

After some time will be ok one.

ok now putting on is ok...but taking out is abit difficult.

Btw the helmet shell is super big lah...looks like alienhead on my small frame..

Should hv read up more in this thread b4 buying..go regina only hv Mfizz n Rjays flipup within $200 budget..

Currently, I flip open 1st, use fingers to pry both sides open slightly den pull out from back of head

depends on your specs... mines flat... so take out no problem.

 

if you're weariing oakleys or specs that bugle out the sides...

haha ya rite..anyway my ears are suffering frm abit abrasion due to too many "practices" on putting/taking off the tourtech...

 

Do u guys find it abit noisy when on highway ?? But I admit its well-ventilated..but got quite alot wind noise leh

wind noise is very loud when flipped up (yeah.. quite obvious why )

 

close down, jam the visor tight down... i think its acceptable.

 

ventilation wise... solid stuffs... if your whole head sweating... the feeling is like air con....
