damn its TRUE THEY ARE AFTER YOUR MONEY..THE SLIGHTEST MISTAKE U MAKE THEY WILL FAIL U..I JUST PASS MY PRAC 7 TODAY..WISHED I NEVER ENROLLED AT SSDCL..

i would say that they would have their reasons to fail you.. im not sure about how other driving centre works? are they more lenient? lol..to me..any centre is the same.. depends luck + own ability ba lol..

If they fail once..take again..fail twice..take again lo..sure got one time take you will pass.. and its better to take more lessons now and learn more things before you out on the road also lo.. keke..

i look back my booklet..lol..i took a total of 49 lessons at ssdc lo..hahah including circuit revision..i failed any evaluation or tp..i go cr 2-3 times..loll..and i took tp 4 times..

since already pay enrollment fees and lessons.. y not just go and learn more things and enjoy the lesson instead of thinking they are after your money lol

I'd rather they fail me during the class than to retake TP many many times. Everytime they fail me they explained why, and I did remember the mistakes I made. The instructors there are very strict and I appreciated their high standards. Of course there are 1 or 2 kuai lan ones but I try not to take it personally; maybe they just had a bad day or something.

It also depends on yourself. You must be prepared to spend time on self-revision. I kept going for revisions until I got so bored, close eyes also can go through the circuit :D Need to remind myself to watch my weak points.

every school is the same.

what goes around comes around.

you may see this kind of instructor here, there are bound to be that kind of instructor in another school.

practical lessons, it really depends on yourself + luck + confidence level.

if you really can ride + a little luck, i don't see why they will fail you.

actually ssdc is okay since students usually repeat their lessons. this is because they go by stages instead of practical lesson. you need to clear 3 lessons in 1 stage. of course you will fail.

but ssdc, you can complete the whole thing faster and cheaper if you're good but that doesn't include for your tp test though.

don't condemn ssdc, as we did not attend lessons from other school. i have friends who are from other schools which is just a single practical lesson and can fail as many times as i fail for a stage. so what's the point of condeming the school?

so far, i'm good with ssdc.

kifakw

Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car

and oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.

Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall,

torque is how far you take the wall with you.

I noticed that the main concern for most riders learning, is just to pass. All they can think of is PASS PASS PASS. But they should be thinking abt how to ride skillfully and in a safe manner.

Instructors don't teach for nothing. They want the best for their students who are insterested in learning. If instructors anyhow pass the student, seriously... Its very easy for the instructor to do that, they work less by teaching the students less since they are gonna pass them anyway.

BUT the students will be at the losing end by not learning anything. Ya sure, Instructors can pass u just to make u happy. But u will suffer during Lesson 5 and Lesson 7. Especially during TP.

1stly, Insructors teach becuz of their own passion. 2ndly, They want the passing rate to be higher defitnately. They hope all students can pass on the 1st attempt.

I know CDC have very fierce instructors,( i suppose that's y their passing rate is higher).

Unlike SSDC, which try to be more customer service orientated. Most of SSDC instructors are not firece although they may seems firece and with a loud voice, but they are not there to harm u. Training Lessons are strict and the orders are given from the head department, so Instructors have to follow that guideline to help all students.

I'm a ex-graduate SSDC student.

Passed my 2B, 2A and 2 on the 1st attempt.

Perfect practice make perfect riding.

What you said is true. Most concern is when you pass your license you

ride safely on the road. And passing prac fast also does'nt mean passin

TP fast

SSDC is a pretty good place to learn I guess.. Compared to other centres which have so many sub-lessons..

In my experience..

Prac 1 : 2 tries

Prac 2 : 1 try

Prac 3 : 1 try

Prac 4 : 2 tries

1 x Circuit Revision

Prac 5 : 1 try

Prac 6a : 1 try

1 x Circuit Revision

Prac 6b : 2 tries

Prac 7 : 1 try

1 x Road Revision

2B TP : 1 try

So don't judge each centre by the number of lessons you have to take.. What's more important in my opinion is how convenient it is for you to get to the learning centre.. In my case, I live 10 minutes away from SSDC..

The total number of lessons you will need to take depends on your own ability, I don't think it has much to do with the learning centre..

Just my 2 cents.

i live in upper thomson but chose to go to bbdc instead of ssdc mainly cos it takes way longer to get a test date at ssdc as compared to bbdc. if i'm not wrong ssdc u can only book after u pass the final evaluation but in bbdc u can book once u reach one of the later CIRCUIT stages (4.02 which is even before circuit evaluation). yea so the difference is prob a good 2 3 mths i tink.

also i passed my class 3 at bbdc on the first try (hoping for the good run to continue heh)

i'll be taking that a/m circuit stage at bbdc (4.02) next week. started learning early march at bout 2 3 lessons a wk. seems like my test date will be in june.

how does that compare to ssdc?

Posted

Hmm.. i think for those who can book the test now, might be in june or late may at SSDC.

BBDC is really at the advantage becuz of that early system booking.

Eventually, i believe SSDC wii also do the same thing 1 day.

If I live in the east, I would had taken my 2b in Ubi. BBDC if I live in the west. Took SSDC because I hailed from the north. Just take whatever that is closer to home, pracs can be very tiring, you tend to want to get home ASAP.

Is SSDC a good school to get 2B?

it depends on dividual experiences..20 pple can tell u 20 different opinions, n if u listen to everything pple say so seriously, u gonna get a headache man..in the end up to you to choose the driving centres (DCs) according to your own judgement..for me, i choose bbdc cuz it's close to my area & more convinient to go back n fro frm where i was..regarding passing rates & stuff, surely there'll be more fictionly facts from people to support that certain DCs are easier to pass and such..just follow ur own wise judgement..

Thanks bro. I make an effort to go for CR for at least once a week and for the week of TP (Thurs), I book CR on Sat, Tue and Wed. I am confident of Road cos I had been driving a Class 3 for coming 12 years. Petrol prices keep coming up and costs of living are getting higher. Hence, the need to switch to something which is more affordable.

True agreed!! If u r good, which center doesnt really matter. I choose SSDC cos I stay in the north, 5 mins drive to reach.
