i just bought a Kingston MMC (2g) from sim lim today.

well im using nokia's ngage qd and at first i insert the card in, it says mem card corrupted. i cant even get in tool>memcard>format, as it keeps popping up memory card corrupted.

what i did was i d/l'ed partition manage and cleared all the infected/bad sectors, format the card, and created a primary partition drive (file system fat16).. and also set it to active, so that it's a bootable disk . . .

i've researched and found that ngage qd can only hold up till max 256mb?. and any bigger storage would be harmful for the phone?. is that true? .

p.s, my mem card works absolutely fine with nokia 6230, but somehow i guess it just can't support my qd.

think its because your qd can support at most 256mb.

im not so sure myself but im guessing putting a 2g is not possible considering the gd itself is a very old fone.

let's see what other's have to say.

yeaaah. thats what i heard about in other forums too..

sigh..

i bought it for SGD59.90. .

i got no knowledge about qd, bought it from garage sales, as i'm going ns soon... also bought it in impulse. . got bored as it comes with stock 64mb mmc, so i went to sim lim square and bought the 2g, went home riding like a happy man, only saddened to know that qd doesn't support mmc's higher than 512, anything higher than that, it may lagg or even be harmful..

all ngage series are also victims of the white screen of death, which also has got to do with the mmc.
