don want to renew insurance

hi.. my insurance and road tax are goin to end soon.. but i don wan to renew cos i going ns soon.. is it possible to keep my bike parked at home without any of these?? my bike is still under hire purchase.. appreciate the advice..

nope. its illegal to be w/o road tax.

 

u cant purchase road tax w/o insurance.

 

but u can try laying it up but u need to find place to store it . its quite hard to do that.

jus layup at your carpark. pay 5plus suar... cheaper than the insurance and rd tax gonna pay.

 

you are allowed to lay it up at hdb carparks.

 

once approved, takes only like 5min at LTA (depending on crowds)...

 

thus, you can temporary defer and not pay rd tax for the period layed up.

you can set the layup starting and ending date. so no issue on that.

 

advise is, end date set longer. you can unlay it anytime b4 it ends still, no issues, jus call them up, and they will do the admin stuff for you (such as rd tax how much etc...)
