the whole thing la bro... cos leds are not approve to be signal lights or even pole lights.. haizz.. maybe can try modify the cbf 150 signal to my bike =)

hi all

 

need some expert advise from e bros here.

 

something slowly but surely happens. my bike is slowly getting bad at accelerating. Accelerating is really getting tougher. Even my pillion said she can feel the bike struggling.

 

Fuel efficiency drops from 45km/l to 41km/l.

Riding isn't as smooth as before.

Engine feels rougher.

Deceleration happens very fast the moment i close throttle.

Battery is 1 year old

I have revtec installed.

Engine oil and spark plug changed every month.

Nothing blocking the air filter.

Bike is 2yrs 4mths old.

 

Any advise please? I must know something 1st b4 i meet the mechanics for if i ask them, they will forever give me the classic answer, "nothing la, no problem, all ok." But I'm the one riding it everyday, I know something is not right or some maintenance needed just that I can't put a finger to it. Advices will be gladly appreciated.

If you're riding a bike but not calculating the 50 possibilities in the 50 meters of road ahead of you, then you're dangerous and shouldnt be on one.

i asked for them to clean last month but they adamantly said, "no need! no need! bike can move no problem! this bike no need wash carb one!"

 

thanks for the suggestion though, if they dun want to clean, i go other shop to clean. thanks man.

You may want to unplug the revtec and try 1st as well.

this bike dont need revtec bro....all u need id mode the pipe open pod your air filter and change the spark plug coil....there u go it wiil fly like mine....like a hawk!...

my 2 cents worth...

 

i hv bn using synthetic engine oil all this while and was able to last 1500km before next oil change.

 

only recently, i tried mineral oil. n i find dat at 800km, bike is sluggish.

My take is cld be your engine oil.

 

Other than dat, to b more certain, y not come down and join d guys tonite,

i think looking at d bike itself will be way easier to pinpoint wat cld b d problem.

mileage is 58000 plus. is it time to replace or maintain anything?

 

Fuel efficiency drops from 45km/l to 41km/l.

with age, there should be some degrading performance, especially when you are already at 58k km, your clutch could be wearing out, but if it doesn't slip just leave it.

 

Riding isn't as smooth as before.

Engine feels rougher.

Deceleration happens very fast the moment i close throttle.

As advised by others, get the carb serviced. If you can't find someone to do it? call us

 

Battery is 1 year old

I have revtec installed.

remove, just to reduce the variables, revtec is warrantied for 1 year only, there could be some degrading of the electronics.

 

Engine oil and spark plug changed every month.

no need to change to a different EO, if you are comfortable with your current.

 

Nothing blocking the air filter.

check condition, if need to replace, do so

Bike is 2yrs 4mths old.

 

remember that a 4km drop in FC is expected for a bike this age. don't be in a hurry to change things especially when you have kept the bike original so far.
