If you are covering your bike you should put a slightly dirty cloth on the seat, so that when the cat smells it, it would avoid it.

Congratulations, wise choice buying the CBF, you have just bought a almost maintenance free machine, do the usual EO changes and you'll have miles and miles of trouble free riding.

Depends on where you stay or work.

Actually, I live near serangoon but then I dun really mind the dist. Hows HKL?

HKL is ok, but you should try Unique motors at Toh Guan or Kaki Bukit. Prices are reasonable. But its the service that is important. my experiences at TG is good. As soon as you arrive there will be someone there to attend to you. Try HKL, you go there and the mechanics are busy and rude at times, sometimes you feel that you are invisible, except for the boss, who is always obliging and his prices are reasonable compared to those quoted by the other staff. unfortunately, he is seldom there. At Unique, the boss is always at the shop floor looking over the quality of work done. The workshop is neat and tidy, a real professional layout.

is your bike brand new or 2nd Hand?

Those packages are full services, we don't really need all those. Try not to use too many additives, run it naturally with regular EO change, a semi syn 10w 40w grade is good enough, try to change your EO every 1000km or max 1200km, so that the engine will be properly lubricated. There are simple package starting from about $30

(EO and plug). If you are free, you can join for a simple trip or coffee session.

if you are happy with the way it runs now, best not to disturb.

Check your mileage, there are some routine additional maintenance that needs to be done.

Normally, the stock parts like the brakes both front and back last very long.

Tires if they are stock, try to change to either Michellin or Bridgestone. They offer better grip than the stock and are good value for $$.

As for the front brakes, there are EBC standard brake pad which are miles better than the stock pads. Don't bother with the HH compounds, I'm using them, the standard EBC is good enough. Stay tuned

Its a difficult to access, got to view. I had slightly similar problem, it was due to the adjustment of the clutch cable's free play. But not sure if that's the issue for your bike.

Biposto,

My issue clear alr actually the sound is only spocket spoiled. I also get my bike to service together. I changed:

Spocket and chain

EO

Plug

Battery

Front and rear brake pad

Air filter

Total cost around $220

I am also glad you intro me that place as the service there really good better than all the bike shop I had been to. Appreciated alot. Just that 1st time go there the place very hard to find. Will go there to do service. Nice.
