Dear Fellow Riders,

I have created a facebook link for us to follow. In the coming days, I would like to invite all riders both local and international to follow the link and register yourself. If you can contribute some photos of yourself and your bike would be great. Modifications done will be much appreciated.

The aim of this link is to open up the CBF riders profile to a large audience and hopefully we can share on the expertise from other nations also.

So far the CBF have been regarded as a "ah Pek" bike and I would like to change this mindset. For those who are interested to keep their bikes stock, don't feel shy to join us in our discussions.

As mentioned in previous posts, I would like to gather and increase the no. of riders for mutual benefits like common workshops, better insurance rates and mass orders of parts. I would also like to offer some DIYs tips and exchange of parts for those who are budget conscious riders. We can organise some DIYs for riders to purchase parts and we can help to fix it up for you.

Those who need some help, PLEASE do not hesitate to contact myself, I might be able to help you solve at a cheaper price or if lucky there might be some others who are giving up usable stuffs that can be still be used.

I have noticed recently that there are several riders of CBF on the forum selling their bikes but we had never heard from them. So all those who are shy, just identify yourselves and been proud to be seen riding a CBF. For those who intend to use the bike for a short while and sell. True story, one of our riders sold his bike 3 months ago and bought a Super 4. Met him recently and this is what he told me, " I should have stick to the CBF". Why? cos it so much cheaper to maintain. He is currently facing issues to pay monthly installments and repair costs as there is always something to change every month with the Super 4.

So guys and gals, follow the link and let's make this work.

Here's the link:

Hawkz Flightz, derived from an annual event conducted by Lamborgini called the bull run, where all owners from around the country gather to drive across several states.

Advantages

1. Cheap Petrol base on exchange rate with RM$28 abt S$11.60

2. Cheaper EO change at RM$28 abt S$11.60

3. Wash your bike at RM$8 abt S$3.33

4. While bike is washed, can have a good meal at Banafee Cafe at SG food court prices is a conducive environment.

5. Gain some knowledge of recent changes to our bike and others.

If you noticed, generally the economic gains is good. So, let's revive this meetup again. A big thank you to Worra for initiating last week's session.

dat sounds strange...

my 2 cents worth, its not spark plug, bcos in the first place, cant even crank.

seems to be electrical contact problem, perhaps?

Hi.. I think ur batt is going to be flat.... experience it before.. The longest i ever use my batt is 1 year and 5 months (till no more water left inside).. then one day... bike cannot start at all... try to do push start.. it works when moving... but when coming to a stop it die again..

Just a question to ask, coz ytd i went to UM to change my EO and spark plug den today when i try to start my bike, i press my starter button a few time and totally no reaction, no sound and cranking at all, like the button spoilt but after i try a few time more, suddenly it works and start my engine as usual... After my ride stop and i off engine to test, same thing, press few times nth happen den after around 3rd - 4th try den sudden crank and works again

So is it the spark plug problem?

Hi all!~

I was just wondering if there's any "good" place for spare part locally (brake pad/wheels..etc) at a reasonable price? ..

Recently i have to change

1. Brake fluid - $90

2. Carbon? (the full thing) - $165

Is it too expensive? .. i ain't sure afterall this is a 2nd hand bike .. somehow i got no choice? What do ya think?

My "Iron Horse" is up for sale. If I don't get a good price, dekitting sales will be carried out and all CBF riders who rode with me are entitled to a special price to purchase the "special parts"

Below is the link to my sale.

Yo bro, upgrading to a better bike??

Btw just a question to all...

My bike since around 2 weeks ago after my servicing at boon siew started to have very very bad cold start problem..

As long as the engine is cold, i can nv start it naturally by pushing the starter as it will start up by die off in around 2-3 seconds... I have to manually throttle all the way for around 1-2 mins until the engine is hot b4 it can maintain idle speed.... Last time during the service, the mechanic mention to me that my engine got some adjustment problem and he need to adjust the engine tappet...

So wat is wrong? My bike only 1/2 year old and the cold start problem is like a 10 years old bike... SIAN

Temporarily lay off riding, getting a car soon. one year later when get class 2 will be back with a mean machine.

Cold start should be expected with the current weather. You could adjust the idle timing screw (left side of carb) by 1/8 or 1/4 clockwise.

But if you are going back to boon siew for tappet adjustment, then can ask them to help tune the carb for you, normally no extra cost.

Remember, don't sting on the EO changes.

Well, i don sting over my EO changes coz strictly 1000km changed, haha

But my cold start problem only start after i went the last BS servicing... B4 that no matter how big rain and how cold weather it always starts off nicely....

Now is totally cant remain idle for 3 sec if the engine is start from cold...
