2.5 litres of reserve can go about 80+ km on our bikes wat, no need to worry lah .... haha

If you ride until bike dies but haven't turn fuel knob to 'reserve' (dial pointing up), then just turn it down and you will have 2.5 litres of fuel to play with.

If you ride until bike dies but fuel knob is already pointing down, that means that you have already used up your reserve, then its happy pushing liao :p

Morale of the story: Check your fuel knob, make sure it is not switched to using reserve. Always remember to turn it back up once you top up (if you happen to make use of reserve)

dats the risk i took lah.....hahahaha....oh yah i think my fuel valve choke leh....funny leh....sumtimes i point it downwards while on reserve ah.....my engine die sia.....tulan leh

Just my 2 cents worth, :dot:

Any one been touring this time of the year on NS?

For the more experienced tourer, it might not be a good idea to take first time tourers, especially due the rainy season. The CBF 150 is a very light bike and may not be able to withstand the cross winds and rain on the NS. Been there during this time of the year and just thought that it might not be a good idea. Sorry, guys to make you all worried, but I was following this thread and thought that I should warn my follow CBF riders of the possible dangers if you guys have not considered it.

hi amin,

manual book says NGK CPR8EA-9 (standard) & NGK CPR9EA-9 (high speed)

i never come across CPR9EA-9 plug in singapore yet. i went to some shops but iridium is not recommended. instead, they recommend NGK CPR6EA-9 and NGK-R plug.

REASON: Bigger Spark.

i still using the CPR8EA-9 plug. I did not change to the above 2 recommended plugs. I did 2 plug change already. Disadvantage of the CPR8EA-9 plug is hard start on coldstart.

E/O i change at every max 2000km of travelling together with the plug.

any bro wanna share on this??

can i join on my yamaha majesty 400?

Sure, but only if you don't mind cruising speed of 90-100km/h

Hey guys just to update,

I've booked 2 rooms at Baba House, unfortunately they ran out of standard rooms on that weekend so one of the rooms is a double-bed. That also mean we will have to squeeze a bit.

hi theforce

yup sure 90-100 kph is fine with me...just a week back i was riding my phantom 200 and i took it up to cameron before.

i will probably meet you guys at machap.. i'll reach there about 8 or so and wait there..

cruising at that speed is ok for me and pretty good for my engine too.

my hp 98009037 - eddy.

how much i have to pay?

Don't go Boon Siew lah, very ex. Just get the plug from Ahboy, tell him its for CBF150, just to be sure u can check the plug model from your manual, should cost about $6 for the standard plug. Change plug very easy one, if you have problem can drop by my place in AMK, I'll show you how to change.

Guys, the below for your reference only. Some items can share, or you may find not necessary or there may be other things you want to include:

Riding gear

Jacket

Gloves

Earplugs

Sunglasses

Raincoat

Rainshoes (not necessary if wearing boots)

Bike

Elastic Cord

Spare spark plug

Chain lube

Additional lock/chain

Tire repair kit (for tubeless tire)

Personal

Slippers

Wet gear for waterfall (berms and T-shirt)

Other clothings

Toiletries

Bike Preparation

Tighten chain

Pump tires

Tighten screws and nuts all around

Lube chain

Change spark plug/oil (if neccessary)

Btw, Baba House has confirmed 2 x standard Twin rooms for us. Since the number of riders has increased, I will try to get another room as the hotel disallows undeclared guests (quite hard to hide our numbers with so many bikes in the carpark).

However seems that only the more expensive Deluxe room is left (110 RM). if cost is an issue, I can share it with whoever is willing to take it. Cheers!
