Hi man,

:) thks for the tip. called the guy weiqiang and installed mine on Saturday. My comments so far is like yours. Bike is slightly smoother, no other visible or "feelable" differences do far. Maybe at a while. Anyway, Wei Qiang (Revtec guy) is a very friendly dude.Don't like the position of the REVtec though, it seems to be too close to the aire intake for the airfilter. Feel that there might be some restriction to the airflow. Also , that blinking light on the unit is "ON" all the way. Not sure if parked for 2 days, later battery got no power to start.:)

so far my bike with revtec install no have start problem. for the air filter, think no diff lar. boon siew also never advise me anything when i went for servicing with revtec installed.

Boon Siew may be the agent for Honda bikes in S'pore but they definitely not the best. They are a bunch of people out of the "old age home". Went to them for my previous bikes and the same.

Please note that they may not say anything about any modification done, rest assured it is recorded on their job sheets, wait till something goes wrong and you need to claim. Then all these records will be brought out and they will link your warranty issues to the modifications done.

I was there couple of months back for a simple oil change. They overfilled the engine oil and the oil started to leaked from the side casing. please note i waited for 3 hours to get my oil changed. If I had gone to a local shop it would probably take less than half hour. Went back the next day, had to take leave, waited another 4 hours for them to drain out the oil and replace the oil seals, clean up the engine breather hose of the excess oil.

In conclusion, Boon Siew is not the best answer to your biking queries.

i think since we have first year warranty by them, so best to go there for servicing for the first year. anything wrong we can at least have a valid reason to claim warranty. thats my point of view.

hmmmm thanks all, this revtec thing sounds good

Had mine installed on Saturday, so far there is a difference in terms of power, the bike feels a little more torque.

I just feel that they don't do the checks that they are supposed to do like before. Last time, they have a check list to check certain parts of the bike as per mileage, nowadays there just check what you complaint about and just do the usual service, change oil and basic stuffs any road side mechanic can do.Mostly honda bikes seldom give problems in the 1st year, there are quite durable any way, everyone is entitled to their opinions. I feel that going to boon siew for a normal service is a waste time not to mention the 2 to 3 hrs waiting time

hmmm..... good point you have there. each to his own. btw u can call boon siew to book a time slot for the servicing,. should save you the waiting time.

ooo

hey anyone of you experiencing this sound coming from the engine?

It's like "click click click" like... a tiny metal ball bearing jumping all over the place when u open throttle.

and i'm still experiencing that vibration at 70km/h to 80km/h even after 8 months. not fun at all to ride along KPE.
