CBF 150 has mod-pipe? Wow. Haha, didn't know. But yah, from what you said, prolly stock is still the best. I actually love this bike, and even though I can upgrade to a 2A, I might just wait till I get my class 2 next year. I'm still wondering (after I get class 2), would the CB400 Revo-SPTADAO or Yamaha Fazer 6 S2 look more cool and turn heads on the road. Of course, $$$ for insurance, servicing&maintanence, petrol and **touchwood**accident*standby* must all be considered too.

 

Not so lucky, CBF does not have a ready made aftermarket pipe, was thinking of working on the stock pipe, maybe removing some of the stoppers inside but not to the extent of making too loud, like to have a quiet but powerful pipe.

 

Personally , I would go for the Fazer 6, since you got a class 2, also the CB400 it nothing but a super 4 with half fairing.

 

Also from feedback from riders of the 2 bikes, the fazer seems to be more agile. There are also more aftermarket parts for the fazer. More variety.

Come to think of it, the handle bar is a little higher than our original one. Not really appealing to me.

The handle bars from hk are the same height as our stock...

it looks racy and not chrome ( difficult to maintain ).

You're right about the pipe, I think we get one of our riders to T-loan one for the inspection, I know a rider who will not say no to us. Do you have any well known exhaust modifiers?

I know a guy in Kranji, but he is very old now and has little interest in modifying pipes these days. But he's a damn good welder.

Seriously thinking about it as there are no options with regards to aftermarket.

 

I'm fine with the handle bars and the speedo console, no change in my decision to buy. Any chance, of getting the prices for the items?

MOS2... reduce friction, reduce wear, reduce heat. damn smooth ride. was using castrol frm boonsiew, the verdict is tat it will makan oil very quickly till at the tip of our dipstick. right now for like 1000km, my oil level is still at the top line. usually by tis distance, it will be gone by 1/4 drop.

 

testimony from myself. 1 bottle 300ml cost $28.00. can use 10 times. as our bikes is 1ltr of engine oil, needs 30ml of MOS2. if u wan, u can get it from me.no benifit from me, only urself. cheers.:thumb:

but know a bit on MOS2 crystals...

seng kwang did my side box brackets, they don't want to mod my pipe as it is illegal, I still want to mod my original pipe so as not to attract LTA attention on the road, that's why want to keep it quiet but powerful. putting on the after market exhaust will definitely get us into trouble more easily.

 

thought that if you could get a price for the items it might keep the enthusiam going as the list is getting bigger.

and the handle bars S$130.

Sighs.

 

Saw e aftermath of a accident today.. somewhere near bukit panjang...

Involves a car and a malaysian rider if im not mistaken...

 

biker was lying on the floor... initially i wanted to ignore it and proceed my journey la... but as a qualified first aider, i felt that its wrong for me to do so... so i stopped at the accident scene... remove helmet, put side stand and all that... (LOL.. and i left my keys dangling on my bike..)

 

Went up to the rider to see if everything is ok... apparently there is another first aider at the scene too... from SJAB... Lol (she was wearing the shirt..)

 

So she told me the rider is conscious n responsive n might hav hurt his back...

Lol, apparently this first aider sounds so much more experience than me.. Lol, so i decided to go with my initial instict n dont poke my nose into it..

 

Before leaving i checked with she if she needs t use my first aid kit... apparently there is no bleeding nor burnts, so its not required...

 

then i left n continued on my journey, riding extra carefully today...

 

Moral of the story? Bros, always squeeze a first aid kit with you under ur bike seat... Might be small with little things inside, but it might come in handy some day...

 

Hopefully e injured party is doing fine now...

btw, i'll be going up to my in laws at pahang kuantan tis holiday season and will be back on monday. cant imagine my stock honda fit, as in no sports rim, air intake, can follow a spore volvo S60 @ 150-160kmh on the way bac during my last trip at NSHW between Yong Peng and Machap route.if normal driving needs about 1/2 tank of fuel at 6hrs journey. 5hrs journey will takes up abt close to 5/8 of fuel, engine no stress from using 5w-30 and MOS2 whole bottle into my engine.
