I read up somewhere in SBF, got one dude said if u retune (PC3/PC5) ur bike, the engine will generate less heat than stock setting due to some theory of A/F ratio...is it true?

That will happen if ur running too lean on ur stock setup.

By changing after market air filter and aftermarket full system will cause ur combustion to go lean.. thus a need to tune the injectors.

 

Once the AFR is back to optimal set up, the bike will run cooler than a lean mixture.

 

Lean mixture = Too much air, not enough fuel (You'll experience heating issues due to insufficient fuel to act as a "coolent" for ur engine, increasing wear and tear to the engine as well. For 2 strokes, lean mixture is also a cause of piston jam where ppl just remove air filter, unrestrict the exhaust and pipes)

 

Rich mixture = Too much fuel , not enough air (but cause the fuel will help in the cooling process, so u dun get overheating problems with ur engine when its too rich, but it will cause ur spark plugs to foul.)

 

Both lean/rich mixture will lead to increased fuel consumption as the engine is not efficient.
