For the sake of discussion, which slip on has the best sound? i.e. loud and bassy? hehe

IMO... i say two brothers man!! i would have gotten that if it was street legal.. I simply love the bass and loudness....

Actually i was looking for something legal, don't want the hassle of taking it out when inspection comes. And i'm only going for a slip-on no FS and stock headers. So will there be any difference in sound at all compared to stock?

I getting LV gp style slip on,no $$$ to get FS

slip on doesnt make any diffs in my opinion.u wont get the real sound of da slip on if u still using the stock headers coz the sound & power is stuck in the stock's header cat box :)

Hi Bros out there!

I am a noob rider who has recently been hooked onto the beauty of R6.

Currently still waiting to get thru with my Class2 license but I am looking around and hoping to get an R6 if budget allows.

Apologies for the noob question:

But there are so many R6 models out there! Anyone can teach me to differentiate which model is which? (Would be great if there is a website link)

And also which model is recommended for a 1st timer like me?

Thanks bro in advance.

The r6 to get is the 2006 to 2011 models. Differentiated by a minor 'pilot light' facelift to the 2008 models (as well as some minor internal differences).

2010 models get longer exhaust to comply with some euro emission standard. But (being biased) most say that the 2008 models are the best.

Yeap, i've a 2008 model and i love it. I just hate how i can't ride it slow.

Hello,

I am currently think of buying an r6. Possibly an 08' r6 or a new r6. But i'm really not too sure whether to buy a second hand one or a new one. May I know the pros and cons of a new and second hand r6? and does anyone know the market price of a new r6 vis-a-vis an 08' r6?

thanks

Whoa.. That's 8k diff... Which shop was it bro?

Anyhow, yea... We could prolly go together to buy.. Hehe. I'm open to 2nd hand ones as well. :)

Someone stated that amount on the forums, think it was asp also. I'm also open to 2nd hand ones but not where which motorshop to start looking.

I'll go looking on the day of my TP (assuming I pass), or should I start looking now? :D

R1 would cost at least 32k and above price varies with shops and R6 would be 24k and above at least.. insurance at your age wont be an issue.. less then 1k for R6..

up to your budget bah bro.. R6 and R1 totally different... If you have abundant cash to spare go for R1 bah.. :)

good luck bro for your TP!!!!

Thanks! Any idea what's the minimum downpayment nowadays and interest rates?

i suggest u get Wenxiong64 to intro you to hl cycle.... they give good price and customer service when u get things from them...

R1 11 - will cost u OTR 31k +/- , and R6 about 23K i think... see ur budget. fuel consumption R6 abit better... Parts price R6 also better. Repair costs R6 also better... lol ..

it all actually depends on ur budget and which bike do u really like bro..

Hmm, I've heard good reviews about hl cycle. Will talk to Wenxiong64 about it, thanks!
