i am not going to ugrue for that. every one has their own way of looking at things. i am not forcing u guys to do the same as me. anyway its tested and prove around the world. even my own friends who do the hard and normal they can tell the diff. the choice is still yours to decide. so cheer

thought an engineer should have more knowledge.

many faults in hard run method.

fact: looser tolerance built engine produce more power than tighter tolerance hence racing engines r built based on looser tolerance.

fact: heat cyclic, engine do not produce high enough temperature to change any material molecule state.

2 decades of working in mro (maintenance, repair n overhaul) environment, still heartbreak to read all this.

cant help reading this thread but to each his own.

Some people may prefer the old traditional hard run in cause the engine will break in slowly but at their controlled pace.

Others prefer dyno run cause 1 thing is you dont have to monitor the rpm unlike hard run in. Less hassle. Just have to lan lan pay. n engine still alive after run in.

For me no big of difference for both. Had tried both before. Hard Run In (Overhauled KR), Dyno Run (fazer).Only that dyno run makes ure bike able to go at whatever speed u desire after doing that.

Performance wise, both also dosnt cause u to gain or lose bhp. (tried on another hard run in fazer).

yes, it is pointless with new bikes to do hard run coz it has been runned in the plant b4 shipped off.

bear in mind tat modern engines r built with tight tolerances.

racing engines with looser tolerances n rebuilt after race.

metalluries for big bikes r more advance n different from smaller bikes.

one example:

cylinder block linears use by big bikes r coated with nickel/silica (a very hard coating), whereas small bike r steel linear (wear faster).

So it doesn't matter at all to hard run-in or soft run-in. After all the engine is run-in already. Just do frequent oil change will do?

yes, basically know wat u r doing n knows the facts.

situation overhaul engine with overbored linears where it's coatings r machined off then do hard run-in coz there is no factory run, u do your own run.

Red rims on Black bike is nice! White rims on Silver bike also goes well! Gold rims??? No No... I think. Too common. Powder coating should not be more than $150 for both rims. Price may varies. I dunno if our rims are suitable for chroming. Need to check.

hi bro...thanks....will consider red then....

maybe can discuss during meet up..

Hi bro

To each his own

CB1000R looks very aggressive but the head light looks like the ugly face of the alien in Predator movie. The end can looks like an oblong box. These two items need to be improved but I guess they wont change it. The SV1000 looks much better.

Actually the headlite reminds me of one of Transformer's Autobot's face...

Hahaha... Uniquely these are the 2 most outstanding designs of the bike. I just love them. You won't find similar things on other bike. I don't see why they need to be improved.

Machine price should be around 21k. With COE and insurance should work out to about 24k on the road. Price may varies.

it's not agent's fault.

it's becoz honda production factory in europe can't produce fast enough to meet demands.

in europe, demands more than supply, somemore holiday seasons xmas n ny.

if it is assemble in japan, u get your bike in a month time.

but too bad this honda is made in europe, u except to get it in 2~3 months.

the bike is aready in bike shop now, just need LTA to approve it. what i mean is why P.I dont get any problem in getting the approve from LTA and our dealer cant get it aprove? and i thought dealer getting aprove is always much easy dan those P.I but its the other way round for this case.

Like I said, the bike is already on the road. As the model of the bike had already been approved for our roads. Why do they still need to send all the same model in for inspection? Or it's just how things work for LTA. I don't know? :?
