Hey. I want to join this CMC. Im riding an unmoded rxs. Don't know how to make my bike look vintage or classic ah. Need help from u guys on how to start. Any ideas?

aiyah @pish, no need to malu2 one. i started as stock last time. i mean all of us before we mod also start of as stock wat.

 

you just come and hopefully you will have some ideas as how to mod your bikes.

hey guys, i will be getting my RXK in a few days time, and theres a few question that i would like to seek advice from u all...

 

1. how much would it be to replace the front fork?.. the shiny silver part have rust all over, can i jus change the silver part?..

 

2. my side panels are black in color and the tank and tail section in red but already fading, better to respray or is there any where that sells the tank and tail section in black color?..

 

3. any idea where can i purchase the front cowling?.. and roughly how much?...

 

so sorry for all the question and thks in advance... hoping to do the rxk up.. hee...

firstly, your front fork. im also actually planning on changing my front fork. a shop in amk i enquired and they said that they can change the 'shiny part' only for $85.

 

2 shops i asked at jalan besar said tt must change the whole set which cost abt $160.

 

btw i dunno if they are original parts for $160. but for the $85 is not.

 

i wont tell you which one to choose but for me personally might as well change the whole fork.

 

secondly ur tank. if u wanna change, why nt save money and spray to a colour of your liking. like tt you are killing tow birds with 1 stone.

 

for cowling i dunno... haha dun want to yaya.

 

why not meet up this friday? like tt whatever enquiries you can shoot us. and we will try to help you if we can.

 

hopefully you get ur bike by then. :thumb:

you're talking about the head-light enclosure right? Not the piece of plastic under the headers on the RXZ?

 

If that's the case, check with this guy: SMS: 98616316. He may have what you're looking for. He stays at Sengkang. Friendly Malay 40 something year old. His SMSs not very detailed, so best to see in person.

 

The description in his ad: "rxk front light fairing and 2 givi clear front fairing"

 

 

Bear --> Sorry for not being at the meetup. very busy now man. Work. Plus meet at night - a bit far lah. I stay Clementi leh haha.

i jus ask a shop in yishun, he quoted me $100 for the silver shiny part, not original, and original for abt $200.. will it be cheaper over in JB?.. well, i took my bike already, riding posture really very relax, enjoy it!... but i encountered a strange thing, was going real slow, then bike suddenly stall, like petrol not going in, after that then back to normal, any idea?...

its the thing thats surrounding the headlight, jus like wat the rxz have.. look very retro wif the plastic surrounding it... thks for the info, think i will jus call him, easier oso... hopefully its wat i m looking for...

i've got no ride now as ma RXK is sent for repair....
