all you k riders, jus wondering, ur 2t setting knob is it all the way up for high intake or all the way down for low intake. (incase u wonderin wher it is, its the right most cable linking frm the engine to the petrol tank)

The details of the meet-up:

 

Who : Seriously! Anybody who like to comestically modded their bike

or ride the RXK n CG.

 

When: 1 Oct 2006, abt 5.30pm or later...

 

Where: Kallang KFC

 

Purpose: To meet other rider of the same interest n to 'Break-Fast' together at

KFC or MacD.

Btw, i will ask some of the TW peeps to join us.

My grandfather is giving me his RXK. The bike still has all the original parts.

Pls advise where can i go and mod the RXK and how much will it cost to resray the bike and change the parts to make it look more retro?

There's this shop called "Chia Heng" along Jalan Besar Rd towards Sim Lim. It's on the right hand side of the street.

 

Dealing alot of parts and accessories of old bikes. Its worth taking a snoop....

 

Things you can mod

 

- Short handlebar

- Single meter

- Steel braided brake lines

- Sports/Spokey rims

 

And lots more I can't recall at the moment... Spray painting also cheap. Less than $250 can do a nice coat of paint and lacquer.

err~~~ didn't do much~~~

 

 

checked the throttle and clutch cables ---> still new

changed the tyres to TT100 ~~~

washed and re-tune carb~~~~

changed front and rear brakes~~~

changed plug + E oil ~~~

changed brake pump ~~~

serviced brake calipers~~~

that's all for the moment~~~

 

looking out for front disc

 

as for mods and outlooks, the previous owner did his project half way(retro-type) and i dun intend to continue~~ Only got a round head light, small and round speedo,"lowered" handle bar and matt black paint work(fuel tank only). Got sports rims too . no further mods done on this 84'dec Rxk

usualy my K will go ard 6rpm wen 80 km/h and 7 rpm wen 90km/h and so on.

but after tightening my chain, i rode it, and da rpm goes up by one knoch, like 7 rpm 80kn/h and 8rpm - 90 km/h. does tt means tt i over tighend it, or do i jus ride it for a few days to season it?????????
