i am ur new rx- kaki. bought an old k from a forumer recently and sent it for modification. hope to collect my 'reborn' baby from the w/shop tomoro. do say hello at the traffic light stop if u see me. heheheheh....cheers!

Today tour-de-singapur was fun. We really covered almost all of Singapore. From Kallang, to simpang bedok. Then we head to Admiralty then end up in the middle of dark-no-where. Thanks to Bear. Really miss riding, going places with the kakis. Wish more could turn up. Nice seeing Josh, Ah-xing, Acap, Aiz and Bear. Its been awhile. Miss u already man! ha ha

And today while riding home, saw 2 RED rxk. One was at BKE, same colour scheme like mine. I guess Acap and Bear saw it too. He rode past us. Then while turning in to BBDC there, saw another red RXK. Too fast, he didnt see me. RED is in ah now. Hmmm... wats next for me. Time to change after Hari Raya.

 

Talking bout Hari Raya, want to go for a outing together2. Just for the fun of it. Visiting our mly brethens home for food and drink (non-alcoholic of course ha ha). All invited, new or old, muslims and non-muslims alike, RXK or other bikes. ALL INVITED! =)

 

To our new kakis, lalalandlah and roadrookie . Join us lah next time, we wont bite, maybe Bear would lah. Ha ha. BTW where u guys stay?

Hi guys,

 

not sure if anyone can help...? as recently I been riding my dad's RXK, his bike problem start to surface once I constantly travel along expressway for 70km/h or 80km/hr for ard 15-20 mins....

It give a weird sound once i start to close throttle or slow down..the RPM vary from 4000-5000...very unstable and came down very slowly and unstable..the engine sound very rough and give a weird sound...more like 1 stroke

and once i stop at traffic light, that it....it dies..if i start again, i will need to rev it really high to prevent the engine die...it got a feeling like no petrol tat kind..

I send to bike shop for a check..but the problem is..this problem oni start after travelling longer distance..usually by the time i went to bike shop, it seem okie..

however he service my carb and decarbonising..the problem show again after 2 weeks and 'longer' travelling..

 

anyone can help????

just to share, i am not totally happy with the outcome of my bike. the w/shop dude cudn't manage to get the rx100 seat that i have asked for despite the extra number of days that i gave him to do up my bike. *sigh*. guess wat he did in the end...? he cut off a portion of the supporting plastic part of the rxk seat and brought the rear light closer to the seat...in an attempt to make it look like a seamless joint between the end of the seat and the rear light. guess wat again...? it didn't turn out to look good.

i am now on a mission to search for the rx100 seat. looking thru' the past forum, i come to understand that i can go to chai heng to get such seat. perhaps the good comrades here can confirm and/or advise alternative shops to help in my mission.

there are a couple of other minor things that are not to my likings. i will return to the w/shop later part of the coming week to fix some of these shortcomings...hopefully.

The rx-100 is very rare lah brader. Not any bike shop have it. I dun think Chia Heng got any stock left, what u can do is add sponge at the end of the seat n re-wrap it. Should consult us first before u do anything. That's why meet-ups, kopi sessions n spraying sessions are very important to attend.

Seems like carb problem. Should get a new one or the piston 'koyak' oreadi or maybe both. If u stay in the west, head to Joon Seng Motor @ Yew Tew Industrial Estate. Super old mechs with Super Knowledge.

Too bad, i stayed in the east side..i tried travelling from punggol to suntec via expressway,.....it reallie din last me...die on every traffic light after i exit the expressway..

 

Funny thing that if i go via small road like wif traffic light, it last me though..
