i have an rxk. any place to recommend for me to send for reconstructing? chroming metal parts and whatnots. because i left it stranded at an open carpark til everythin get pretty much rusted. long story to why i left it stranded. :giddy:

i am not so sure... but im guessing MAYBE 9 - 11 litres including reserve.

 

once again this is just a guess.

Hi guys, would like to know the market price of a RXK at the present moment, very interested in purchasing 1, but the price diff is so great in the market now that I'm not quite sure if I'm getting value for money. :help:

It really depends. Anywhere between $300 (the one that i'm currently riding because it's falling apart!) to $1K + (customised)

 

Be prepared to pay $1k if you're buying one from a shop, about $600 from a private owner (stock).

 

Abt lights, can change, but must use 6V bulb+socket, i think.

ok thanks! i estimated it to be that much too.

 

I saw an uncle with a custom enlarged tank. Looked kinda round, and cool. Now if i can extend the tank into the seat....wah....easily 20+ litres haha.

I love my bike but... family prob... dad going for operation... selling ferrari red DNA... bike just did servicing... castrol R4 engine oil one month ago .. change rear tyre 2 months ago... change belt 2 months ago... titanium GPR exhaust.. black illuminated voltmeter... malossi CDI malossi rollers... Malossi air filters..

change rear suspension 4 months ago.. car arlarm system optional... Didn t met with an accident but did all this to make bike nicer and faster... Gd offer...!!!

RXK tyre? First hand or second hand?

 

First hand : $25 - $50

 

Second hand : around 25 - 30 ringgit(jb) = $12 - $15

Went to HKL and was quoted 60 bucks for each Dunlop tyre!

i'm riding yr83 RXK..

Stock though..

wondering anyone got the manual for it..

i wanna change engine oil myself but dunno to pour in how much..

 

read ur post..

 

wads the air nipple or somthing like that?

 

my full tank W/O reserve can last me 290+ km..

using 92 petrol..

and my 2T seems to be stuck at full for like 600+ km..

any idea where to adjust it? quite worrying and i'm gonna premix abit as well..

As long is the tyre thread is still visible n not 'botak', second hand tyre saves a lot of money.

 

i got mine a Dunlop TT(rear) at only 30 ringgit at KHM(Ah Qua lane) in jb. Second hand tyre brand or size tat u want depend on the shop availibility.

RXK uses 0.75L of engine oil.

 

The nipple thingy is a rubber cover for the front brake. Its nothing to worry about.

 

Regarding your 2T, ask the motortiam to adjust or check out your 2T pump or change or clean the 2T tubes(maybe blocked), u noe the rubber tubes where the 2Ts go here and there.

 

NEVER ADJUST THE 2T PUMP YRSELF!!!! NEVER!!!!

i did abit of fiddling...

 

anyways..

 

can someone enlighten me on this,

if i've been riding on 70km/h for quite sometime, suddenly the engine gives off that really loud rattling sound, i clutch in or not, the bike still dies off but i'm able to kick start it again after awhile, it repeats it self...

 

is it overheating?

 

btw thats wad made me go fiddle with my 2t pump..

I think u 'burn' yr clutch plate oredi. What happen was the clutch plate does not 'connect', meaning inside very 'loose'. The cause of the problem is wear n tear. May i noe, which gear u engage until got the rattling sound?

 

I used to have this problem, engage 5th gear n it make alot of noise.

but i've been on it for a while before it happens..

 

anyways..

mayb i can hav some advice on how much changing all the clutch plates costs around..

 

lol i turned the engine oil nut the wrong way"anti clockwise" to try and loosen..

tot all screws turned anti clockwise to loosen, so i went down bike shop..

the uncle told me my case is piston jam lei..

he'd switched my 2t pump to very very small input but changed the configuration yesterday.. sad sia..

he told me he jus did overhaul like 3 months back.. now mayb need to do top overhaul again.. any idea how much that costs around?

ouh quite unlucky mike.

 

i went through the same thing too tho. when i stop at traffic light my engine idle wouldn't go down. it would be stuck at 3 or 4. so i went to bike shop they say the clutch plate wear off.

 

im not sure ah but if i remember correctly its a few hundreds. cause i did mine quite long ago.

hmmm... but from wat u say ur bike still can move wat. then in that case piston not jam. if pistom jam the rear wheel lock and refuse to move.

 

i think urs is a case of piston seizure.

U have 2 options

 

1st, Overhaul the bike, which cost ard $500++, depanding on wat u change.

Top Overhaul meaning change the piston(wif piston rings), crank or piston shaft, rebore your block, change all yr clutch plates(all 5) and other thingy neccesary.

 

2nd, get another RXK, also $500++

 

Sound scary but it is a got investment. Once top overhaul is complete, yr RXK won't give u trouble for the next 3 yrs(depend on how yr ride).

 

For my case, the same problem occurs during my NS days, no money to pay for overhaul, i take another RXK. At least the latter can pay thru installment, 1 month $50. Cheap, Cheap.
