get a redrev for spec 3 from motoworld or knt... cost $150 w/ installation... its a device which is fixed wif your cdi to bypass the rev limit n your speed limit... definitely hve to order cuz if im not wrong, now no more stock....

wat i know the power cut does not allow ur rpm to go into the red zone(this is also a engine protection cause the engine overheat very fast when rpm goes into the red zone)...

if u install the redrev, then the power cut is taken out...

Does that mean installing RedRev kills your engine earlier... Like fixing a time bomb to your bike...

got power cut can also go redzone lah.. its just that when u tarik ur gear it stop at certain speed.. like lets say it stop at 170 and won't go anymore higher, then that bike got powercut.most bike got powercut.. except for old super4, maybe pb1 or old batch ver S..if it doesnt have powercut.. u can see the meter can go more than 180.. or ppl would call it " CLEAR METER"

only PB1 does not have powercut..

 

clearing meter doesnt means no powercut.. i test my ride with a digital speedo, as accurate as the ones one new Civic, R1 and FZ6.. max speed is 177kph.. mine is with powercut..

 

tried "cleared meter" before, but during the time where the needle moving beyond 180kph, i dun feel any acceleration..

 

many people had many qns abt the powercut.. in fact a lot of myths abt it..

the fact would be it's not possible for a powercut S4 to rev into the red zone.. go try it.. you be amazed with the results, the needle will just bounce back to 12.5k once it hit the 13k mark ..

 

many claims that powercut can be removed by cutting and reconnecting some wires, but i've tried that and tested the top speed.. still the same..

 

imo, the power unleashes only in the red zone.. S4 had 2k rpm worth of red zone in every gear.. powercut merely was there to let you utilise it..

 

even my 2stroke RS125 can rev into red zone, why not a S4?? because it's factory fitted with the powercut..
