Dear Zod and Paiseh,

 

the system doesn't work that way. 1 license covers all. Be it 2b 2a 2 3 4 or 5 etc.

 

your different classes for eg. 2b passed for 3 years and a 2a passed for 1 month, it does not work in a way that your 2b has 24 pts and your 2a has 12 pts. The DIPS works solely for your ONE license. So everytime you just get a new class, your license automatically become probational. 12 pts. you accumulate 13 pts, your license is revoked. as for class3 or class 2b being SAVED and not revoked. that's based on case to case basis.

 

I have received letter from TP informing that i have 2 points left. If i get 3 points and more, my whole license will be revoked. including my 2b and cl3. So it applies to THE WHOLE LICENSE. Whether you cl3 or cl2b still can hold will really depend on the how you appeal.

First thing you need to do is to wait for the notice from traffic police...hmm...usually by mail within 2 weeks. Not sure if they had admend the rules for beating red light...anyway if amended, there will be a registered mail for u to turn up in court.

 

If it is juz a normal mail, bring the letter to see the MPs. U can check with your Town Concil(where u buy ya season parking), when and where is the "Meet The People Sessions". Usually sessions starts in the evening.

 

If it is a registered mail, there will be no use to see the MPs, as the higher chamber of courts overrides the MPs in authority. Try to prepare 2k in cash during courts apperance. If u want to appeal, do it after the hearing...u can approach the MPs from there. Not so muz on the fines but the points.

 

Points to take note. Bring your sumon and IC. There will be MPs, Lawyers and offical there. They will ask u wat is the objective of ya meeting, juz tell them is traffic violation. They will refer u to see the best person in-charge(not nescessary the MP him/herself).

 

Tell em this is your first offend. Was absolutely unintentional and u apologize for it.

was never taught about class above 1 year has 24 pt and cl under probation being 12. was taught tat the LICENSE is under the DIPS . all equal . no different points allocated to different class. you got your license many years ago ? 10 ? you mentioned NOTES. wat kind ? smile. care to share?
