Hi all,

I'm riding a spec1 at the moment.

Previous owner changed the grip and balancers which I didnt like aesthetically.

I took out the balancers and noticed that there's no screw thread (balancers pressed into the handle bar). Is this a spec1 handle bar?

Next question is, how do you take out the grip? I tried to pull out but it seems like it's stuck on it. Didnt dare to pull more coz I'm not too sure about it.

Please don't ask me to go to bikeshop coz I wanna DIY and learn.

Thanks in advance

if after replacing new grips and feel slippery, a steel wire is the fix... :thumb:

so if its a after market handle bar without any screw thread, theres no way to put the balancer ??? need to change the handle bar in order to fix the balancer ?

i tink mayb yr handle is chong 1. When i brought my vtec, the shop fix on a version s handle bar instead of vtec handle bar. Regarding the no screw thread i dunnoe much abt it. But i tink it wil cos some problem for yr balancer as it can't grip well.

Version s or project big 1 handle bar lower and shorter in length. Try riding a version s or project big 1 and u can feel the difference le. By looking it looks almost the same.
