Isn't it too ambitious to go up Genting and down to Melecca in a day? A large group like this means more time wastage at petrol stops. What kind of travelling speed is planned? How much time to spend at Genting? 1 hour? It will take at least 6 hours to reach top of Genting if going fast. Prob nightfall by the time reach Melecca? Then... do what there at night? And ride home reach home midnight?

Actually it isn't as stressfull as u make it sound to be, I've actually followed ang mo kia to Terrangganu (kemaman) in 1 day once ... even a vara 125 ridden by mr.black made it (Deserved Respect) left almost around 7am and reached hm at about 1am.

 

Actually Pplater i wouldn't know if u share the same opinion, but it dosen't really matter how far the distance or how much time taken during travel or even how tired or sore our butts feel (So WHAT!!! if we take a little more time to get to genting and back to singapore) ... most important is having fun during the rides, making new friends, experience and view scenery which we could never get, riding in spore.

Just as life is ( Unpredictable ) ... it still's goes on ... $H!T that happens along the way, will always be in our memory ( GooD or BaD).

 

MY ADVICE for those going for this ride or those who want's to follow this ride

@Rep-56, i get your drift.. Its just that I've seen some ride plans gone down the drain due to size of convoy and too many different bikes. My concern is large safety, not easy for ride leaders to bring big group and for group members to cope. Especially downhill from Genting.

i would really love to take my R6 up instead of my CBR150R but my insurance coverage doesn't cover fire and theft. NTUC income doesn't allow me to upgrade my plan now.

Okay guys, there is no such thing as good leader that can bring such a big group up and down genting. Its all how the riders take the ride. Keep cool and alert in everything you do. Even 1% not sure, don't do it. Follow the simple rules given during the briefing and I am sure all will go well.
