This is true. Father dun allow dun matter. But when mum dun allow, never go against her. Go and ask her nicely to let u ride your bike safely. Mintak restu dulu.

I did ask her before...

She said she was fine (that is after i asked her quite a number of times)

Guess her heart isnt settled on it...

Superstitious may be but when a loved one esp the mum doesnt want you riding truly, **** happens...

i guess it did... to me...

Dude... Shhhhhhhhhhhhh... Never say anything bad about the server. The "Hantu" will come and get u..... Its taboo... :cheeky: ...

On a serious note. Dun give up riding just like that. Some people may go riding and end up accident the first few times and thats what makes them an experienced rider now. Just have to assimilate the bike to your riding style. Being overcautious is never a good thing. Some times to get out of a dangerous spot, u have to overcome some danger with aggressive riding. :thumb: Learn from experience, anticipate drivers driving patterns. Avoid what is avoidable. Even if u drive car and u dun master these anticipation skills, u will end up in an accident still.

hey guys...

might possibly be selling off next year after all repairs have slowly been made...

worried too many people...

accident ratio too much like i am not meant to ride a bike,

2 very minor accident and 2 major ones... in a span of 8 months... thats like 1 accident every two months...

a not healthy sign...

maybe someone really does not want me to ride...

maybe my mum's heart was truly unsettled about me riding...

cos i did say to her it wont be safe for me if her heart is not truly keen... (cos she was the only one not wanting me to ride)

maybe ride again when older...

sigh...

Old generation used to say that... When I was hospitalised my Grandmother keep on asking me to sell away the bike n buy a new one... I guess that is a good opportunity for me to change...hahaha

But I choose to keep the bike and Thanks God everything looks ok...

However its ur decision to sell the bike, its ur choice... start to choose or stand to lose...hehe...joking2

Ok seriously, i think we share the same value of believing in FATE, so whatever happen to us we should accept it as what it is, because it is beyond our control.

it is possible that you dislike a thing which is good for you, and that you love a thing which is bad for you. but Allah know well, and you may not know

Maybe this accident could probably safe you from the big one, who knows?

My personal point of view is that what happen to me is always the best even my last serious accident, cause it giving me the opportunity to learn and experience new things beside saving me from the worst one... If we think bad things always happen to us, remember that there even worst things happen to other human being... Hence we must be thankful always...

Alamak too long already must end!! Pray before u ride :thumb:

For a secondhand bike with the milage of 900km is consider a great purchase.. hopefully you paid the correct price for it.

However for milage like this, you have to first check if the bike has met any accident before or has the bike been properly "Run-In"?

Did you go through an agent or bike shop for purchasing this 2nd hand bike? Or purchase directly from seller? If purchase directly from seller, then the first thing to do is to let a recommended bike shop to do a throughout check for any fault... there are too much things to take note of for this bike, so it is best for you to send down to a experienced mech to do the check for you.

Cheers

i have check the condition of the bike. it look like brand new inside and out, did asked the shop why the previous owner was selling the bike at a very low millage, the shop give me a strange answer that the ex-owner trade for a new S4. Anyway the shop was asking for 12.3k haggle over the price to 11k otr. Downpayment 1k and the rest installment at interest of 5% for 4yr.So far have clock additional 100km and the bike doing ok.

maybe i can join you all for a meet up, so can take a look at the bike weather i need to any repair or do-up to the bike.

live to ride with the bike you love

I have lots of stupid accidents but that only make me wiser. I do hope u can consider abt the selling of the bike. Whenever i have an accident, i will go to the temple to pray. And everytime i HAD an accident i will tell myself exactly what u thinking now. But after thinking, its really up to oneself to decide if it is dangerous or not.

2ct is that everything is dangerous, even you sitting down or just walking down the road. It is how one thinks that make it safe. Do consider. Reallt dun want to lose a friend like you on the road.

Thanks for your advice Imran. I got a few more question hope u all can enlighten me. What is TPS? I am still new to this bike so alot of term still not sure. Engine oil and filter will be changing it. Brake seem fine. Done the check at another bike shop (not the one i buy) and the mech say its in gd condtion. Average how long is the tyre life span? and when shd i change the sprocket??

A throttle position sensor (TPS) is a sensor used to monitor the position of the throttle in an internal combustion engine. The sensor is usually located on the butterfly spindle so that it can directly monitor the position of the throttle valve butterfly.

More info at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Throttle_position_sensor. Do it at your own risk!

Best to learn troubleshooting skill so that shop cannot shop you and you will learn to take care of your bike better. Do come down on some of our outings to learn more and to mingle and make new friends. Keep a look out for any future posts on outings.

As for sprockets, chains and tires, its very subjective. It depends on you and how you mount/ride the bike. Proper maintenance will prolong your equipment.

The restu (blessing) of mum & dad are equally important not only from mum. yes mum gave birth to us but without our dad we won't be here. also if he didn't work and take care the family, who will cloth and feed us. and the roof where one grow up from baby to teenage then to adult, who provide them.

there is a saying, for a son/daughter the heaven is under the sole of the mother while the heaven for a wife is under the sole of her husband.

tried marry someone daughter without the restu of the girl father.

just my thought, don't get piss off.

rainy season is starting. take care guys.

anyway to those using auto-glym products, besides Aqua wax, is the super resin recommended? i bought a bottle of the Aqua wax at the recent motorshow for $30, and later found out it cost $78 at autobacs.

I am thoroughly speechless.

I am also having difficulty finding enough curses to bestow upon the mother-fcuker who stole a certain part of my bike.

The right side plastic cover which runs under your seat to be precise. I found the gaping hole just now while leaving my office for lunch.

Best thing was, I did notice another GSR4 parked at my office lots when I arrived this morning. Black, FBB plate.

Office is somewhere in Bishan by the way.

Moreso with the rainy weather, I dunno what's gonna be the effect of all that rain water collecting in the gaping hole.

Anyways to whoever you are, hope you make full use of that one plastic cover. Look good and Ride your bike as much as you can. Cos your kids aren't gonna be able to do the same, they'll be born with no knees.

And to the moronic Cisco Officer who placed a magic green ticket on my bike this morning, despite me CLEARLY displaying a valid parking coupon, hope you enjoy the fruits of your quota hitting labor. Jackasss.
