anw. just asking huh. what kind of maintenance does the bike need engine wise. apart from the usual eo change, spark plug change. like servicing? any valve clearance to be done or what?

Servicing : Change EO, Oil Filter, Air Filter

Parts Replacement : Chain + Sprockets , Tyres, Brakepads, Fork oil & seal

 

Servicing at 100k mileage : Valve Clearance, Timing Chain Tensioner

For those whose dust cover for the front fork is bulging or out of shape. Please take note that the seal maybe broken and that damage is being done everytime u ride.

 

Attached are some of the pix i took when i changing the dust cover and seal.

 

Take heed of it. The rust is very corrosive.

Yup flareon , happen to father's bandit,probably due to washing or heavy rain mah,the rubber gasket after a while will harden depend on wat shampoo and all those sun basking,even though it's new and flexible,doesn't mean it keep all the water out.heehhe...thks for the shring of pics.so i noe wat will happen later.thks though:cheer:

no need lah

once you see the cover bulging out than thats the time to change. If u find out early, you will only need to change the cover. If delay than like me change the whole thing......

 

Bulge a little will means that the cover is spoiled. Any more than that means $$$ flying. And the longer u take to repair it, the more $$$ gonna fly.

 

End of the day. Just change fork loh.......
