no need lah

once you see the cover bulging out than thats the time to change. If u find out early, you will only need to change the cover. If delay than like me change the whole thing......

Bulge a little will means that the cover is spoiled. Any more than that means $$$ flying. And the longer u take to repair it, the more $$$ gonna fly.

End of the day. Just change fork loh.......

You should have just waited...then can change to upside down fork heheheh

Will it make me fly or accel faster or cut corner with knee down? If not why need upside down fork. There is a reason why Suzuki makes the fork as it is.

A simple reason y suzuki does not want to include that in GSR is becoz of costs.

Got this info from a website

--- Ours ---

"The main advantage of the telescopic fork is that it is relatively simple in design and therefore relatively easy and inexpensive to manufacture and assemble. It is also relatively light compared to older designs based on external components and linkage systems." From Wiki

--- Inverted ---

"On many sport bikes, this system is inverted, with the spring/damper unit clamped to the yoke while the sliders are at the bottom of the assembly. This is done for two reasons: to reduce unsprung weight by having the heavier components be suspended, and to improve the strength and rigidity of the assembly by having the bulkier and stronger component being directly supported by the pivot." From Wiki

"Simply, the inverted fork will support longer travel with better bushing overlap. It will suffer more from lateral flex, but it will be stiffer in for-aft flex, although this is only due to the size of the uppers and you can simply make the stanchions bigger in a "right side up" fork and get the same result.

" From some Forum webby.

To answer your question, yes...it will give me more confident when attacking corners. Not to mention it'll lasts longer and less weight. Acceleration is due to individual hands....fork have little or no impact hahahha.

Just change the fork oil to heavier so it will be harder and nicer to play corner loh. Why need to spend more to change the fork so that u can play corner. BTW our stock oil is 5W. Use 15W if u are ebrake alot and plays corner like siao.

:)

End of the day is that a fork is a fork. inverted or not. It is a fork. U want hard, change heavier oil. Softer change lighter oil. FYI, the hardness of the fork is not due to the adjustment of the 1-7 bar at the top of the fork but is due to the density of the oil used in the fork. Inverted fork adds extra weight to the front when u corner making it "harder" due to compression thus making the rider think it is better. So whats the deal with forks.

I Close my case.

*Read up alot on forks. Due to bad experiences last time.

You are right...but the oil can only do so much....A better alternative is to change the spring to a stiffer one. Still can't beat an upside down fork heheheh.

The adjustments are only meant to pre-tune it to makes it suits your riding style, the nitty gritty stuff. Different riders have different needs. How fast the fork dive will give/take confident away from the rider.

What does upside down fork gives you. Beside being heavier and "more race look"??

Its not heavy btw...it does not makes sense to make it heavy.....The upside down makes the bulky components (Eg your fork seal) to be suspended the other way around. This gives the compression needed for that little unspring weight. This means less bounch...Which in some terms gives stability when cornering.

Unlike Telescopic where unsprung weight is plenty....That is y chainging the oil will have little effect...changing the spring to a harder bounce will have much more impact.

Now you know the truth. Maybe bro Skateboy aka suspension man can put more light into this.

My priority, Looks 2nd....functionality 1st. Before you say why I never get, its because of cost.
