Hi bros

I hate to spoil the morning mood but I have a story to share.

I went to top up petrol last Friday during lunch in johor via the 2nd link. Was a windy day but generally had no problem facing it. Almost reaching the Singapore immigration towards Malaysia, we would have to go over a few humps and then corner to the small lane for Motobikes. And that was when the unexpected happened.

Those big water barriers usually used to define the bike lanes was actually blown towards my direction by the wind. And who would have thought that would happen? Clear roads, No cars, No bikes and 2 big water barriers blown by the harsh wind resulting in me doing a front wheelie with my wife onboard. My front right signal light seems a little peeled off from its original place. My front number plate is a wreck, (looks like a Hawaiian wave fit for surfing) Left a dent on my radiator. Matter would have been much worst if I was actually traveling faster or if my wife wasn’t holding on to me.

So please be careful when riding under harsh wind conditions and expect the unexpected.

Glad to hear that you and your wife are all right... hope that you two did not suffer much injuries. Bike spoilt can always repair back to brand new but human parts spoilt can never return back to original...

Yeah... those who are intending to travel north... be reminded that the wind is blowing pretty fast... ride safe and slowly. Wind is one of the top factor that causes us to lose control of our bike... it's a fearsome factor ... it's invisible and it can strike at any moment.

God bless and ride safe to all!!!

Hurray ... finally the SBF is back online.

.........

On the way back, we were surprised by another event. We met ... I think it was a Fazer who had his exhaust pipe came off at GP Shell station. We were wondering .. how the hell the exhaust can come off? Literally, the whole rear exhaust assembly came off... Poor chap... hope he has his bike fixed.

Anyway, thanks to all who went to the Kulai trip. It was great to have you guys as company. Love to have more of such supper run.

Simple mah.... muffler nvr fixed properly... its either the gasket at the connection part or the srew and nut not tighten properly....so when he go at high speed, it came off... my R1 was like that previously...

Wah kaoz ... like dat I think it's damn dangerous to ride behind you liao ... hahaha... never know when you did not tighten your screws... wait suddenly see a flying pipe coming towards me ... hahaha...

Wonder have such accident happened on road ... where motorbike's pipe got loose and crashed into behind vehicles? The most I've seen is the rear box got dropped off ... luckily it did not create any accident. Have seen so many uncle with rear box that are already dangling or pointing downwards... when I see that, I either slow down and wait for opportunity to overtake them... too risky to travel behind such bikes.

it must have been the vibration from the bike and probably the bolts and nuts for the exhaust wasnt tightened. In the aviation industry, those high vibration areas, the bolts and nuts are wire-locked to prevent any loosening or coming off. you wouldnt want that to happen while flying thousands of feet above the ground.

rien d'autre que le max.

hahaha..no la, my case is not due to loosen screws or nuts... the gasket worn out, so it slided out from the mid section pipe.

yeah vibration could cause that... but my case is not due to vibration. the air pressure to the stock exhaust is too strong i guess, plus the worn out gasket, plus i was going at 302 km/hr at that time... that caused the exhaust to slide out from the mid section pipe.

FINALLY ITS ONLINE............. Addicted to SBF man.. hahahahahaha.... How was the kulai trip guys??

It was a blast (all the kawa ZX blasting way past us). Very windy! luckily did not encounter any flying barriers.

Hurray ... finally the SBF is back online.

Kulai trip was ok. Glad that everyone are happy about the Nasi Lemak over there. On the way... met some sport bikers from Sg, as we are riding happily along the left lane... they are like mosquitoes(no offence) ... buuuzzzzz or zoomeed pass us... and we are like dumb founded... hahaha... they must be travelling at least >200km/h.... One by one, they zoomed pass us... and it definitely wowed me. Seen that before and it really motivates me further to go for class 2. :D

Care to share which brand of slip on is that? Dun tell us it is the Wacko brand from motorworld again... I think it is definitely not the GPR ghost.

450 pounds ... you mean it is not at our shore yet and we need to import ourselves? Can you give us more details... that will be wonderful ...

Anyway... I am interested in getting if it is good...

450 pounds ~ S$965 (have not include shipping yet). I know UK shipping prices are ridiculously high. Be prepare to fork out another $200 - $300. And remember to get insurance for the item during shipment to Singapore.

Anyway I also wanna know more about this. Can give webby, brand, model ? It does have a piece of paper (the certificate) that says can use on GSR400?

it is the gpr ghost slip on for the 400. its not on our shore yet but i'm enquiring through the gpr uk distributor.

take a look at their pricelist, page 29. and page 30 for the racing slip on of the ghost line.

according to the distributor, yes it is certified for the 400cc but i'm still ironing out the legality details with them. they're quoting me 400pounds each but say roughly 50pounds for the shipping. i'm not sure about that though, i'll have to check out more on that.

gpr has a distributor here but when i went down, they quoted me 1.2k for pipe plus install. pipe is for the gsr600 application which means not legal and they say that there's no application for the gsr400.

if there are many more guys interested, then i'll ask more so we can share out the shipping. otherwise no point for me as well.
