Hi, recently I found out when I start to move my bike on first gear, then 1-2 secs later I clutch in and close throttle. Then my bike engine died.gotta restart.it happens almost 1-2 times outta 5 tries..can anyone explain to me whats happening to my bike? is it my idling rev too low? but cannot be leh..its slightly less that 1rpm

ur idle speed to low dude.

 

try playing 'blip' when u idle... u will c tht the rpm will dip below ur idle...

You need 1200 RPM for the bike to be running on iding. Lower than 1 should be too low.

lower than 1 is low?? tot car is about that range..u mean stock rpm is bout 1200rpm? cos this bike is a 2nd hand, when i got it its already bout 800-900rpm.tot its normal..how to adjust the rpm?should be a knob to turn right?

You wan need to meet the guys, can be done on the spot for you. Have your set of toolkit ready.

 

If you wan to expore, its on the left side so need to take out the plastic case (3 screws), under the tank (no need to lift the tank).

Although the concept of the engine is the same but they are different. try asking a car owner to change gear at 5k rpm, they will said tht u are crazy. for us changing gear at 5k rpm, is norm. yes car idle is about 800-900 rpm while bike is about 1.5k-1.2k rpm.

Blipping: Its more of a quick short twist and release of the throttle jus to keep the rev high.

 

Well since he is not familiar with blipping. The best is to jus raise the idle.

just bring along a 4mm allen key. then can adjust the idling. or better still, do away with the plastic cover.
