the ignition costs about $100 each if not mistaken. I met a guy changing his for his Fazer 1000. if change 4 then it will be $400!!!

Not sure they are the same as ours??

USD81.26 each.

$400 is still ok.

Imagine spending $700 on a replacement fuel pump.

That's heartbreaking...

walauwei, u all talk abt this spark plug that spark plug.. just use it till it cannot be use la... how will u know when ur spark plug die on u???

1) There will be a knocking effect. knocking effect can also due to water mix with petrol or improper burning

2) So This 2nd method can confirm which spark plug from which cylinder died on u or faulty

- all u have to do is to touch ur exhaust header while warming up. which ever header is not as warm as the rest, that is the cylinder with a faulty spark plug. Then u know that, that will be the time to change all spark plug....

Reminder : Do touch the header with a damn cloth.

If once in awhile u take out your spark plug to check and clean it, might as well u straight away change it. free yourself from worries...

i'm voting the third.. it's nicest.. the first like cutting, second like Mr.America the third..sui!

check out the plugs on att.. this is an idea wad dzal is talking abt. not all 4 plugs are equal. the other 2 was okay.

Oem plugs r a nono. proven by riders who had bought it b4. cracks here n there, or chip/broken, worst off the tip broke n cause a piston jam..

Wah! whose bike was that? The plugs looks very worn out. See see never take care and check/inspect plugs often. To me I will stick to my idea of taking out plugs, do a bit of maintenance and put it back.

It will also tell me the condition of my engine and thus adjust things when needed. Not wanting to wait and things happen then too late already. Anyway on normal plugs, can just buy and change. No worries as 1 peice is aroung $7/-.

What plugs are those?

Those look like they simply failed. Either too lean (and conversely too hot till the plugs are burning off) or the plugs are corroding from integrity failure.

Here's a guide of how your plugs are performing or whether you are using the correct plug rating:

So far mines good. Color of dark teh tarik.

But I need to change my spark plug and filter soon. A lot of misfirings recently. Quite some tim sinc mylast changez....

alamak brader, which camera u used la...gue kena pakai binoculars untuk tgk beb ( i must use binoculars to look babe )...lol

dont worry la, new technology bike like ours, d spark plug wont rust. like what wildcard mention, its too lean and when its too lean, ur spark plug is hotter than normal.. thats when the ceramic give way and everything else too...

be like razi, Scheduled PM, but add another step, change the sprak plug when taken out.. its cheap $7 per piece...

Oh dear.

I hope there isn't anything super-valuable inside.

Damn those thieves. Useless arses who can't afford things but want them.

Keep an eye out in your area. Since your box is pretty distinguishable, I have a feeling its someone near your area who have been eyeing your panniers.

Pray you might run into your boxes on the bugger's bike.

Thus, the reason I bring my boxes home or never leave too many valuables (except my spare cheapo helmet) inside.

nothing much valuable inside except for my airport pass, staff ID and hangar passes which will create alot of hassle for me at work.

anyway i do have a suspicious bike which followed me from the expressway to my carpark last night. but from the make and model of his bike, i wouldnt think he would do such a thing. nevermind i'll let the investigation officer do his job while i try to do a stake out if i'm not sleepy, who knows? he might be back for my brake pump.

seriously if i ever find out who did it, i'll beat the sh*t out of him. i bought those boxes with my hard earned money and he can just easily take it away from me.

I know how it feels, bro.

Just pray that the boxes and its content will become a curse to him for the rest of his life.

Do let us know the model of the bike ... so we can keep a look out for it... with that model of bike with the H&B side box, at least we can all lend a hand if we spotted one, we can take down the license plate and location spotted.. which might assist in the investigation... I hope.

Anyway... with your airport passes lost.. it's kind of a treat to national security... if it falls under the wrong hand... let's hope that this bugger be caught and apprehended... death to his motorbike bike license + hands chopped off!

Agreed. I dunno if go see witch doctor and put a curse on him/her/them helps.

I jus noticed my tires cap missing this morning. I can't believe this kind of things also got ppl wanna steal.. knn..

I think the boxes are useful for them unless they got the racks.. hmm.. probably they are going to install rack for the boxes soon.. then it will best time to "catch" them..

Normally they steal the box not to put on their bikes, but to see if there is anything valuable inside they can use..
