aiyoh brother...u should read properly on the link u gave la...:faint:

Super4, size 150..some use 160...

b-king bikes are on 220, but there are riders who use 200 or 210...

it all depends on the rider... for 1st yr on my r1 i was using 190, for 3yrs i used 180. still went for track still went for touring.. its the characteristic profile of 180 i prefer..

usually 190 is for higher CC, they need more contact due to the power they have..

dont go coz the price is cheap. like they all mention look at the manufactured date.

if anyone wants to sponsor for me 190, i fixed it on my bike, to prove that our rims can use 190...BUT i still prefer 180.......

It can be used.

But the performance profile is different.

You will feel sluggishness when flicking into a corner.

190 tyres are meant for 6-inch rim like most 1-litre bikes.

Ours are 5.5-inch rims which uses 180.

It will fit, no doubt. But the riding profile will change.

I had a few Gixxer.com and R1 forum links about this but I'm pressed for time.

I used to ride a TLR and we had 6-inch rear rims which came with 190 as stock.

I tried changing it to a 180 when LAB had no stock for 190 and felt it turned better. Easier to flick into a corner. Though I had some minor issues on slippery straights. Never went back to 190 ever since.

So wider tyres better or cooler. But that's just me.

If you want, a few people are selling nearly brand new 190 rear tyres in Garage Sales.

Almost got one pair but backed out when I did my research on this issue some time back.

Hahah Stick yoshimura sticker. Oklah not a big deal. Maybe can try ask if take out sticker will be cheaper or not.

If the engine is in good condition, why not. Go for it. Try to see if the bike got any history.

This is just for people who intend to get a second hand tyre or tyres that the shop recommend them to get... you never know if the shop is trust worthy or not.

Yes... I do check the Dot code before they install it on my bike... even if I knew the tyres are new in the market. This is just me... I am always cautious for things. ;)

A better question to ask .. is that ... if anyone ever do pre-ride check regularly? Check signal light... check tyre pressure... check brake... etc? Well... I do.

So, does that makes me special than the rest? Hahaha... maybe I am too KiaSee(afraid to die in hokkien)... but then again, I do that to be safe as I have two kids to feed at home. :)

Ride safe bros!

Totally agree with cyrix. It is a good practice to check before EVERY FIRST RIDE. I did the checks too. And i am proud of it. THough the police at the NPC always give me the funny look as i always "flash" my bikes before i ride.

thats my point...it can be use...and why people are so worried abt it when they are not a hardcore rider ot track riders??? LOL

well, i will stick to 180 even when im back on a 1000 again...

but hell ya, with 190, view from the rear bike, it LOOKS garang (fierce)....

From the sound of it... it seems that you have no technical hand-ons with your bike yet. Do not attempt to DIY yourself to change the air filter if you are not sure.... It's not so easy as to take it out and put in the new ones... if i am not wrong, under the tank, there are some other "stuffs" you need to remove/disconnect before you get access to the air filter.

Best is to get the air filter and wait for the bros here to have another DIY session and they will most likely be kind enough to assist and teach you some technical good stuffs... :) Usually they have regular DIY session.. so check the forum often... ;)

Cheers.
