mine got similar problem but probably not as bad. what u need to do is to get the right angle to twist the key. i know its irritating but u can just try haha. for mine i push the key in then tilt it towards myself then it can turn already. haha. ;)

Be very careful....too much force may break the key......Then you really have problem.

I guess frustration and depression got the batter of him....hahah...anyway I can't blame him....they guy been asking again and again...even though the same answers were given.

With the internet so vast, there is no harm googling, yahooling, binging, etc.... hahah. SBF search function works well too. :deal:

Imagine people asking for bike prices again and again....(Which is still happening) If i am a bikeshop, I sure entertain, but then again just an ordinary worker. Can only afford to get one GSR, cannot get multiple GSR every few weeks or months. So how to confirm and chop?

Those that have done their research and wants to get a more definite answers are gladly helped. :thumb::thumb:

You can see around. If the old guards keep quiet, then say unfriendly. If they say out wats on their minds, then say unfriendly. Either way, these are unfriendly type of people hahahha.

woah bro freak... you hurt my ego liao... Lol... just joking...

you might insult those people who are using ABS on their bikes... *ahem* I'm using one... but I know your point... so I'm alright... :)

Anyway... it's always a topic to argue about on ABS... so keep it cool. Some people prefers ABS ... some dun... so just leave it this way and let those who are curious do their own research. ABS= Auto "Buang" System. :)

Peace out...

Hi Razi,

Is my shirt with you? Maybe I will meet you during the end of the month to collect from you. I'll be away for the next couple of weeks. Sorry for keeping it with you for extended dates... paiseh...

Burn the T-Shirt liao... mAUAHAHhaHAHa... Can update me when u coming for the meetups so i bring it..

Ok ok seriously.. Sory to ABS users.. But this topic is very subjective... It may be useful at the right conditions or environments.... Other than that, it seriously depends on the riders experience and judgement.. Not necessary to have but i guess can be useful to those in wet or cold climates....

u can make what ever assumtion u like

FYI i searched for hours just for kappa's website u try key in the word kappa n see what u get. chances is the sport wear. mostly in german and a while more before one in english. i even emailed them but their respond is they only handle corporate enquires. givi as well. but no response

and yes i visited a few bike shop. of cos they will be more than happy to over promise and they don hav stocks so i not gonna pre order and get something which defeat the purpose and pay 1k for it

i once spotted a gsr n waited 15min beside it hoping the owner will come by

bike enthu? more like trigger happy. come on show us more with nuisance taxi drivers around it doesnt suprise me there are many type of ppl in this world

search around the thread? i tried various keyword. and there are 500 pages. with response like this no wonder its so long.

search - 06 09 diff?

search various model?

show me a keyword there can deliver the result being discussed?

then again if its so simple. wont it be simpler to just give the result?

ABS can be a very subjective thing. so i appreciate it the real bros here can share. i didnt know suzuki emplyed a brunch of pussies to design this. or were u a engineer yourself?

searching on yahoo etc gives mostly cars results

im looking forward to join the GSR family n sincerely believe there are nice bikers around so im not gonna let ppl like u stop me fr getting a gsr

cheers:cheers:

Did i not say that ABS is for pussies? Y would i call myself a ***** if i am one of those engineers? U sum kinda genius? 1+1= Stupid?

No one is stopping u.. Get it... Not like we OWN the bike model or sumthing.. :sian:

Thanks Bro Motofreak for keeping hold of my shirt. Will try to head down to the gathering if possible.

As for Daniel, I am a GSR ABS rider. I can relate to you that the ABS braking is good for those who like to do hard braking or e-braking. In short, ABS is there to prevent wheel lock. For those without ABS, to prevent hard-braking and wheel lock, we apply intermedance(dunno the actual spelling)... which is to press and let go .. press and let go. ABS does that but with more controlled fashion.

To recount my experience with ABS... I had a few close calls during rainy days when I had to brake within 10-20m with the speed of 60km/h or more(distance and speed are estimated .. too afraid liao to even see the speedo, but I know definitely with the speed I am travelling and short distance I had to stop will surely skid my bike.)

Anyway, first was to avoid hitting the car infront... the other was to stop before the red light traffic knowing it's amber hitting to red and there's a traffic camera at that junction. I applied hard braking in both incident, praying that my bike will not skid and hope that it will stop in time... which it did. I had a few incident like this with my old Phantom TA200 which resulted in fish-tailing(rear wheel lock and read wheel skid). So to me, this is my first time using ABS and it does provide me with more confident to do e-braking during wet condition.

Talk so much no use... best is to show video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NY6nEDeIa78 -Suzuki ABS demo part 1

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MtPnz7x8hNA -Suzuki ABS demo part 2

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9QtfP7EXkx4 -Suzuki ABS demo part 3

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yBuTBeq-FEE -Suzuki ABS demo part 4

*To support and reiterate Bro Razi statement, "ABS is not a safety device" please look at the 4th video(1:54), it summarize all mistaken facts about ABS.*

So having a ABS does not mean that it will prevent you from having injury... it just assist you in braking that's all. In the end, it all comes down to the rider skills and senses to prevent injury.

BTW, I'm a ABS supporter. :thumb: Cheers! Ride safe!

My cousin solved my steering lock issue alr.

Hope this method can help others who r facing the same problem.

For mine after i insert key, after pressing down, need to pull key towards direction of myself/fuel tank direction slighly(not much pressure) before turning to Steering Lock position.

Voila!!! Now problem solved. Unlock also same. Insert Key. Press down and pull key slighly towards myself(direction) and turn.

Tried multiple times alr. It works!

just a tip to share...if your key acts funny and you need to be somewhere in a hurry, do what i did...open up your oil filler cap, got some drops of engine oil on it, tap this onto your key and push it in and out of the keyhole. Wash, rinse, repeat...works like a charm everytime.
