I am a newbie to this bike and I tried to find as much information as possible. Using the search function should be the way to go because many questions had been asked before and yes, like one bro said, who am i that you should reply to my question.

 

But as my first sentence quoted, "I am a newbie", how would I know what to search for or how would I know how should I phrase the questions in the search functions. If you ask me google, searching is a breeze and it is definitely much powerful than this plaform here.

 

Anyhow after reading a few posts, it make me wonder if this is the right place for me to seek help, is it the right place to ask questions, if yes, then what kind of questions are allow.

 

No wrong or right in each perspective but I do met with some friendly bunch who are helpful and friendly last week.

 

As of now, I guess I think I better ask or seek help somewhere. Just hope that this place will be back to what it was intended for.

Hi fellow GSR bros,

 

 

I can sense that there's a small dispute here, I personally think that it's not fair to close the thread immediately or issuing infractions pts to prevent more burning flame,But if this argument goes out of control then it leaves me no choice,and just think that (if) there is some new member who just bought a GSR recently and wanted to know more ,saw whatever replies we have here,would leave a bad impression,Right? nevertheless i would appreciate that we maintain our harmony just like before.

Going solo or with group?

 

I have a riding buddy and myself are planning to go there too. Golden triangle. Maybe if you want, we can plan it out for three of us... two GSR and 1 fazer1k.

 

Yeah, this baby is good enough for long distance touring. Only setback is windblast and uncomfortable seat.

my key broken into 2 pieces (dun ask me how i do it) , any idea where to make a new piece with program?

 

i remember some1 told me he make his new piece at 30 beside Regina but that doesn't seems to be the case cos i just went there for quote, $80 :sian:

alamak...I also thought its 30 bucks. But is your program chip still intact? Like that can just cut a normal blank key and use the chip as a keychain. Also works.

Sounds excellent cyrix... but that will take quite a long ride to the golden triangle isnt it... man... I want to do the malaysia loop... but the threads I read so far, those going solo actually have relatives in parts of malaysia...

hmmm... if only south east asia is kinda like one big country like australia or something... sigh... it be riding heaven... a new place to ride to every weekend...

Hey there ,i went with a GSRearn to Marina and found out normal shops does have a device to read out whether your key is equipped with the (RFID)chip,with RFID is $150bucks ,without is 13 dollars,see how much difference does it make.or maybe you could make a duplicate key(normal key) and hang together the broken top of the suzuki plastic casing within a key chain and try starting the bike,Who knows can be an alternative??:angel:
