Welcome aboard fellow GSR rider! You bought the bike here?

Sorry but wat is rips?

Is it okay to use shell 95?

Sure, why not? I use it all the time when i pump @ SG. only if i go JB then i go for premium petrol.

How much the tank bra cost? Bagster.

I got mine for $150 at motorworld

What are the daily maintenance i have to do?

Daily? Polish your exhaust headers, midpipe and endpipe to a pristine shine like

@Lexanez

No la, im just kidding.... :D Just normal maintenance lor...

Weekly: check tire pressure, lube chain, etc.

Once in 2 - 3 Months: EO change, oil filter, air filter, spark plugs, etc

I wanted to ride to KL what are the good cruising speed?

Depends on what speed u are comfortable at. the bike can go 130-140km/h no problems, and the occasional short blasts up to 180km/h. Which is what i'm intending to do this coming weekend.:thumb:

Mine is non abs version as previous owner byoass the abs since thw abs got probs, anyone have any idea where can i get t chabge to abs back?

Sorry, cant help u on this. Ask bike shops? Maybe the other bros can give other opinion.

Where can i get belly pan that is meant for gsr400?

Check out Motoworld, they have parts for the GSR4. If not, Unique Motorsports might have some. Last when I head down there, I saw a Belly Pan for about $200 plus?

Hi guys, any reliable shop in the north area to reccomand for servicing a gsr400?

Might I recommend you to head down to Unique Motorsports at Toh Guan instead?

Hi guys... Just bought myself a GSR400 last week and really enjoying it. I would like to make a few inquires. I really appreciate it if anybody can answer..

1) From one of the earlier post. the pressure for front and back is 250/250. Will it be alright if i pump extra for the rear wheel since i feel it heavy at the back while riding?..

2) I would like a rear seat cowl for my bike, any shop sell them? Read in some earlier post that motorworld sell them but not good quality, is it true?

3) Any differences between the various types of yoshi pipes (stainless, metal magic, tri-oval etc) other than cost?

4) Can i use armourall to polish my bike tank, or must i use wax? Cos i heard armourall not suitable for tanks since its flammable or something.

Sorry for the noob questions...

Really loving this bike and i'm not regretting it...

For the 1st question...do you mean the mech broke the 'metal' frame of the footrest? I dont think it is possible to weld that place since its not metal. Its some kind of alloy. Replacement of the original one is ex. Aftermarket replacement also ex. If its juz the footrest, I think can get replacement. Maybe those that change before can advice.

As for mirrors, its impossible to get all the vibrations out. You must understand the physics first before tackling the problem. The vibration comes from the engine. So far only 1 guy says his mirrors are A-OK. And the mirrors costs $300 (At $300 it better be). Changing the balancers might help but does not help to eliminate at all RPM. So far stock is the best. I change my handlebars and balacers. So far been OK, only vibrates around 100km/h - 120km/h.

1) Not an issue. Actually they recommend 290 for rear without pillion

2) Its a hard item to get. If you do not like the version that Motoworld carries, there is always the internet.

3) Try googling the diffent metals. There are pros and cons for eveyone of them. A short write up will be Stainless Steel - Hot to touch, Aluminium - Not durable will dent when fall. As for round or tri-oval, its more for looks.

4) Bikes and cars are the same. You are doing it on the surface and not in the tank. I myself using Autoglym....Changing soon to Meguire once the current supply finish.

Demand a new one from them! Or unless you're the one who told the mechanic to use brute force.

Anyway, it can be welded. But I only know one place, planet motors. I broke mine before when I skidded at my work place, broke both the rider and pillion footrest hanger. Cost way less than having to replace the whole hanger (which cost about $300+ by the way, one side).

hi gsr-ians.

im new to this bike, i have some doubt.

the part where you can see through the engine oil (the bottom right) is empty. i turn on the engine also empty. i didnt see any oil there. is that suppose to be like that? or i should see half level of oil when the engine turned on?

Edited by sLapshock

If you're bike is in the side stand, you won't be able to see the oil level. Get someone to hold the bike upright while the engine is off then you should be able to see the oil level.

Hay guys can some one help me where can get the suzuki parts

Any bike shop should suffice as they would contact the dealer. KS motors at Jalan Besar, opposite of Regina do sells lots of OEM Suzuki parts. I've gotten quite some parts for the GSR from them at a reasonable price.

Thanks,

Anyway, what is the ideal temperature to warm up the bike to before moving off?

How many clicks should i do servicing? every 5k or 10k?

Which temperature to warm up, it is quite subjective to people. I usually leave it til 55 degrees Celsius before moving off.

It is up to you whether you wanna do maintenance or not. Haha.

Well, as a rule of thumb. EO and Oil filter at every 5k and sparkies at 10k, clean or change air filter every 3 months. Do check out the suitable life span for your other parts such as brake pads, tires, brake fluid, coolant, etc etc
