run in depend how u want ur engine to last..

 

for me, first eo change on 800, second on 1500, third on 3000 than last on 5000 which is complete run in..

 

than every 5000 change eo....

 

for running in, best to take it smoothly, try not to ram ur engine too much.. let it take up slowly, from 60 to 70km/h before 800, 70 to 80km/h before 1500, than 80 to 90km/h before 3000. lastly at 5000 try to maintaint it at 100 to 110km/h... after 5000... take it to it max... (me i take it to 185km/h in JB) rite now with the GI, i tried 191km/h (In JB) last week

Replacing rear brake pad

 

Hello, anyone change the rear brake pad for GSR 600 before? I was told at HKL the original one is 70 dollars! sh*t man.... anyone know of a better bargain? after market is also accepted as it will work as good. Thanks

im not too sure how u ppl do ur run-in for e bike...

 

for me...

(for those who saw my bike...)

less den half throttle for 1st 1000km...

i done e markings liao...

 

occassionally open to half... fast pick up... fast switching of gears...

(like in dam that day)

 

other times do dragging of gears... but still maintaining that i dun go beyond half throttle...

den i do travel on small roads more... so i can do e changing of gears...

 

after e 1st 100km...

den its gonna be 3/4 throttle...

same as above... only throttle different...

 

after 2000km...

den normal riding...

once in a while need to wack e throttle a bit...

after 5000km den u ll noe e full power of e bike...

 

den lastly...

i juz wanna say that...

even at half throttle...

or rather...

1/4... i can go up to 90km/hr liao...

sometimes higher...

but i try to keep it slower...

only got once... on CTE... went up to 100+++km/hr...

n i checked my throttle...

juz below half only...

 

once in a while...

i ll open my throttle to half... when on e expressway...

 

thats abt it liao...

the pad is 58 n he charge me workman ship ar...

 

no choice cos got to chance liao... there are lines on my brake disc liao.....
