Exhaust system

 

(e.g. exhaust manifolds, catalytic converters, mufflers, etc.)

 

The exhaust system, which consists of the exhaust manifold, catalytic converter and muffler, is used as part of a vehicle's exhaust emission control system to ensure that the exhaust emission meets our environmental requirements. Any modification to the exhaust system would therefore require LTA's approval. The following should be submitted to LTA for evaluation:

a) Certification from the product manufacturer stating that the proposed aftermarket exhaust system is suitable for the make and model of the vehicle.

b) Certifications or test reports from LTA/NEA recognised test laboratories to show that the aftermarket exhaust system when fitted to the vehicle on a per make and model basis complied with prevailing exhaust emission standards.

 

Note: Removing catalytic converters and mufflers are not allowed as it will adversely affect the exhaust emission characteristics of the vehicle.

 

for the 400s:

just on a glance, it will be harder for (a) to be fulfilled. (b) should be ok for street legal

kits as most are homologated and meet at least euro-2 requirements. just a matter of

getting the shops here to push for the product. maybe when there are more gsr's on

the road.

they sell $15, same as urs only dun include installation? i saw it today at motoworld. didn't ask the price though...

 

the Ermax windscreen is a hot favourite. out of stock already... next incoming shipment will b ard late may n early june.

hi guys. something to do with cleaning your chain, it's called kettenmax.

i'll let the pictures do the talking:

it retails for 29euros or about $60.

have contacted motovation about this, his current quote is $75 including 5% gst for

5-10 orders. price may be lower after he confirms with kettenmax. anyone? i'm getting

one to share with my riding buddy.

Looks good but GSR don't have main stand ,how to jack up the the rear wheels to rotate it when cleaning?

Behind Lavender food centre (Jalan Besar) there are car accessory shops, they sell the same wire mesh and its cheaper than MW.

The red sticker some of u stick on the rim , is it comes pre cut in oval shape or u guy twist and turn using a straight one? Buy from 219 or auntie shop is it ?

mostly use the straight one, stick n turn. pre-cut shd b slightly steeper in price...

both pre-cut and tape versions available dude. auntie shop selling, not sure about 219

but should have. i know the tape sells for about $2 per roll, you'll 1 per wheel. the pre-

cut one is slightly more expensive.

the pre cut 1 is more easy because it come in 16 pcs 4 pcs for 1 side of the rim. i bought around $12

Hey guys... Noobie here. Tried to read through all the 174 but stop half way. too long. My Tp is coming this may and i feel that the gsr400 fits me better. ALmost psycho myself in buying a supermoto. Lucky saw this thread.

 

can any helpfull ghost/angel help in advising me e pro's and con's of the g4 in brief? I really thought of buying it.

 

and ard how much wld it cost me? i'm 20 with 1 and a half years riding experience.

Hi guys ,may I know the performance of the stock tyre (Bridgestone 014), is it good enough? The shop advice me to trade in for Michelin dual compond (BT2 if I remember correctly at extra $150)

damn... chiap lee gave me the H&B instead... how much u got for the rack? sia117 got it at looi's for $200. mine $180 but have to spend another $40 to re-inforce the fitting...
