Morning everyone. This is a long shot seeing that there's no new updates to this thread since last year but here goes.  I just got me a 2007 GSR400  and was wondering if there's a group still fun

wat horn did u buy? have to find a suitable mounting point 1st before u start running the wires

i'm very keen to get a GSR400/600, can any1 kindy update wats latest price(OTR)? and is it best to buy from Looi's?

 

i've read thru abt 100 pages (no kidding), and still got some questions:

 

1. since GSR4 and GSR6 are so similar, is it true tat most accessaries are common (can fit on both) for the 2 model?

 

2. wat items to change @ wat frequency (--Km), how much does it cost? (assume normal riding afte run-in)

 

3. wats the FC for GSR4 and GSR6?

 

sum1 mentioned : 400-->smooth, 600-->power

i dun quite understand, can the laujiaoz kindly elaborate more?

 

least but not last, can i join u wen u guyz meet up, so can find out more b4 deciding weter get 400/600??

i'm also interested in knowing the price for a GSR400 OTR for a 23 year old. i just checked with leong seng at alexandra area and it costs about $13.5k OTR... didn't check which party insurance they're giving though

 

anyone kind enough to let me know how much it costs at looi's?

its better to buy a bike at a reputable shop.

 

1. accessories can fit both the 400s n 600s.

 

2. running in only need to change oil n oil filter.

 

3. FC for 400s is about 20 - 22km/l. 600s, shd b higher... (can the 600 riders ans this?)

min u need to get is TPFT (third party fire n theft).

 

its better to go n check out the price urself. cos the insurance at diff age really make a diff. the COE oso... do check out other bike shops n access the pricing b4 making a move.

i also hope to go down and take a look for myself but its hard to find time to go down since i'm working :sweat:

maybe next weekend i'll pop by looi's since it seems to be one of the more popular shops to get a GSR400

 

anyone staying around CCK area and doesn't mind letting me take a look at their bike? :smile:

Does anyone know where to get a more secure engine oil cap. Im looking for the engine oil cap tighten by allan key. I have seen it on a Fazer before.

actually there is no such thing as 2nd party..

 

in insurance there are only 3>> 1st party which is actually comprehensive or whatever the insurance company likes to call it.. meaning you can claim your own insurance others can claim your insurance and you can claim others oso..

 

2nd party which is actually third party fire and theft meaning only can claim if vehicle is set on fire or stolen and others can claim you and you can claim others..

 

3rd party which is the only one with the correct name and only others can claim you and you can claim others.. cannot claim yourself..
