denverdino>>> your method cannot be applied because you're assuming that

the speed/rpm curve is linear when it's not. as you go faster, drag increases

exponentially, meaning you get smaller speed gain at higher rpms.

max speed for the gsr 400 is 202km/h by i don't know who. that should be at

about 12k rpms. maybe at max redline 14k rpms, the speed would be near

210km/h, 215km/h at most, though unlikely.

personally had 200km/h at 12k rpms, revs wouldn't go up anymore.

202km/h is done by our only lady here...

hee..yah...

the FC have to take abt 1 week or 2 weeks before i can feedback to you.

but so far my best was 25.1km/1L. that was using esso ron 98, during running in so rpm always below 5k, or average abt 3.5/4k like tat also before grounding.

to really test out if grounding increase milage/litre, i will need another 2 full tanks of esso ron 98.

first tank to set as my standard.

2nd tank to compare.

my riding shld be abt 5.5/6k rpm now.

i also want to test out if esso petrol is better or caltex.

i think shell is good but milage/litre not as good as esso.

it's this case on my old bike and also on my current bike.

still gotta try caltax.

SPC, out of the question. haha

Dino, this shd b able to help u in deciding which maxima oil to use if u decide to try it...

http://www.maximausa.com/products/images/Large/MXM4ULTG.jpg

Maxum4 Ultra 100% synthetic Polyol Ester base

5W40 and 5W50

RACE TESTED

Maxima's answer to Motul 300V Double Ester

-Blended with expensive polyol ester normally used only in jets and Formula 1

-Highly Polarised Ester

-High Viscosity Index (5w50) achieved with ester

-Naturally high shear resistance without Viscosity Index Improvers that shear down rapidly

-Best in anti-shear high temperature engine protection

-Contains Organic Moly, extreme performance EP additive

-Superior extreme-performance racing fully synthetic motor oil

-Provides a substantial power increase

-Maxum4 Ultra has overkill levels of antiwear and extreme pressure additives

-Customised to protect highly modified 4-cycle engines, including turbo applications

-Lengthens oil life, decreases sludge and neutralizes corrosive combustion byproducts

-Special detergent and dispersant additives prevent varnish and carbon deposits

-Exceeds JASO MA (wet clutch), API SG (don't be fooled, later API grades have less antiwear protection!)

-Not just for bikes, for all extreme performance carbureted, fuel injected, turbocharged and supercharged engines.

Recommended Retail Price- S$25.00 per liter bottle

5W50 Ultra is highly recommended for the aggressive mixed street/track user who demands a slightly thinner yet extremely sheer stable oil that stays smooth with minimal drag at insane rpms but thick enough to deliver good performance in commuter applications. Polyol Ester base is the last word in extreme high temp performance, outperforming Maxum 4 Extra in this aspect. Tested on fast revving 600cc supersports :thumb: Great shifting and engine smoothness exceeding 5000km interval*, this oil begs to be abused.

5W40 is recommended for track junkies who want maximum hp from their rides. For street applications, users who want to stay with their manual recommended viscosity of a 10W40 weight will be better off with the 5W50 as it will be closer to the average 10W40 visc during use. Details of Maxima's viscosity blend is explained below

*fuel diluation issue from an engine in poor condition will prematurely degrade performance of all engine oils

Recommended applications (not restricted to these models)

5W40

06/07 R6, CBR600RR, CBR1000RR, GSXR600 K6/K7, GSXR750 K6/K7, GSXR1000 K5/K6/K7 (track)

5W50

06/07 R6, 03~05 R6, 04~07 R1 (street/track), CBR600RR, CBR1000RR, GSXR600 K6/K7, GSXR750 K6/K7, GSXR1000 K5/K6/K7

Maxum4 Extra 100% synthetic Ester base

10W40 and 15W50

RACE TESTED, EXCELLENT FOR STREET

One Oil to fill them All

-Highly Polarised Ester base formulation

-Superior high-performance fully synthetic motor oil

-Best in anti-shear high temperature engine protection

-Reduces friction and engine temperature

-Maxum4 Extra has overkill levels of antiwear and EP additives, very similar additive package to Maxum4 Ultra

-Lengthens oil life, decreases sludge and neutralizes corrosive combustion byproducts

-Suitable for extended drain programs

-Special detergent and dispersant additives prevent varnish and carbon deposits

-Improves fuel economy

-Smoother shifting

-Exceeds JASO MA (wet clutch), API SG (don't be fooled, later API grades have less antiwear protection!)

-Not just for bikes, for all high performance carbureted, fuel injected, turbocharged and supercharged engines.

-Cross reference for Harley Davidson 20W50 Motor oil Link

Recommended Retail Price- S$23.00 per liter bottle

15W50 Extra is the hands down most popular and widely sold Maxima engine oil. The formulation is sufficiently thick and durable enough to maintain smooth and quiet operation in local conditions, delivering silky smooth shifting that clicks effortlessly into gear. The thicker, shear stable ester base resists thinning from transmission shearing and fuel dilution to deliver superior lifespan in harsh short trip city riding conditions. Like Ultra, Maxum 4 Extra is a 12 TBN oil, effectively neutralising harmful acid byproducts for extended periods. Recommended for V-Twin and V4 configuration engines that tend to run hotter with more vibration than inline 4.

Recommended applications (not restricted to these models)

10W40

06/07 R6, CBR600RR, CBR1000RR, GSXR600 K6/K7, GSXR750 K6/K7, GSXR1000 K5/K6/K7 (track), Super4 (vtec1~3)

15W50

Almost all models except: CBR600RR, CBR1000RR, GSXR1000K5+, GSXR600/750K6+, 06+ R6
