Its quite scary since my front number plate touch the plastic fender. Its about a Suzuki Key's length. Maybe I will set to Maximum preload. Maximum means set it all the way to number 1 right (Top 1st line - 1, Bottom 7th line - 7)?

I will explore the 2nd option of changing the fork springs and valves, if price permits me to. Damage if i take this option?? Where can do? Is the damage like affordable front fork damping valving kit, the 20SSK? $550?? Wow! talk about faction of the cost hahha. I do have the moni but feel sayang to spend it on that.

Maybe I try change the fork oil first.

$550 compared to a full USD conversion which would prolly set you back by over $2K, at least.

A good valve kit wun cost you that much, though. Where you got that price from and for what brand?

I've checked RaceTech pricelist for a similar fork setup (Bandit 650/1200) and it costs much much lower than that.

Try check up with the RaceTech guru at Braddell there, Teck Thye.

Maybe I'll do that myself and update here.

Actually $550 is in Sillypore Lollars. This price is advertise by Motoworld for the model KTech 20SSK. Sorry for never declaring the place first. Here is the link http://www.singaporebikes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=118980

Have not ask them for other brands yet. Will do so soon and post here.

supersonic & realdean > already browsed thru those pages and other pages as well. some useful info. but need to know which is a better running-in option, hard or soft?

running in option, we would say its subjective. some like it hard some like it soft. there is a link on hard run in. u can refer to that. n there r some other links that helps u in running in as well. do take time to read the links provided. its there for a reason.

I have one question. Do you guys experience that the front fork dips quite a lot when going over humps? I placed cable ties to measure the amount the fork dips and was quite shock of how much it dips. If this is an isolated problem, I guess I will need to see a mech.

It could be it is set to extra soft. How to adjust the screws on the fork? Clockwise or Counter Clockwise to make it stiffer?

finally u changed to GSR...

anyway, a street bike suspension is for normal street usage. n the setup is in a sense for average weight riders. a lady weighing 45kg n a man of 90kg riding on the stock setting, sure there is a difference. the lady might feel suspension too hard whereas the man feels too soft. therefore, we can choose to adjust the suspension to our comfort level. of cos with extra cash, we can choose to change the oil n the spring.

Hahaha Lots of considerations before getting it. Anyway still taming the beast. A long way to go before it is ready. Many parts also needs to be changed hahhaha.

Anyway enjoying the handling and acceleration of the bike.

u had rode a S4 b4 so u'll handle the bike in no time. the handling n acceleration of the bike, shd not b a big prob. now i believe is the running in part that is a pain n u hope u can go thru it fast enough.

so, wat do u have in mind for the parts to b changed? u need to poison urself abit 1st?? :D

Lots of things. Juz change my levers to racing type (Titax). Will need to wait for Februrary 08 for Rizoma Fender Eliminators to come. That is my next target. Afterwhich may want to change the handle + heavy balancers + mirrors. Hahahah. Will be spending like crazy this year. Oh ya will need to get windshield maybe in March. If I don't do this progressively, my finance will sure suffer hahahha.

ours is a muffler leh. but there is a catalyst converter at the mid pipe. u can remove it but its illegal cos in order to do that, u need to cut the mid pipe n weld back. so 3 years later when the bike goes for inspection, definitely will fail unless u can get someone to do it for u who can get a sure pass.
