Guys,

I'm ready to go ahead with our first expedition.

I just need to confirm the accomodation costs and arrangement tonight. I'm thinking of using those seaside chalets. Simple reason of security for both ourselves and bikes as we can park and secure our bikes in front of or within the chalet itself.

Suggested costs has been between RM30 to RM60. Checking on number of rooms.

 

Total budget for the trip is set to about SGD$40-SGD$50 per person inclusive of petrol & light meals but excluding personal shopping. Wanna keep trip budget low so you can use excess cash for other purposes.

 

So, I'm putting up and initial list of those who want to go.

Its set on the 23-24th Dec weekend.

1st GSR Malaysian Expedition

 

Gentlemen,

more updates.

I called up a chalet. Its not exactly at Air Papan but close and its still along the beach / seaside.

Place is called Kali's Guesthouse.

Essentially small kampung houses converted into chalets. I asked about the rates. RM80 for 4 people (more if squeeze lah) with aircon and heated water. Parking in front of the chalet house is no problem.

 

So let's confirm the number of people going.

Personally, considering that this is a first trip and considered rough-'n'-tough backpacking style, let's leave it as a guys-only trip.

So far the confirmed participants are guys only.

 

As for last day, I tentatively set as 18th Dec as last day to confirm.

However, last minute applicants still can apply.

No pre-trip cash collection needed as we pay for accomodations on the spot.

My plan is the day before the trip, confirm how many participants, I will call the chalet and book the number needed. Then we can split the costs once we go in and change RM.

RM80 is about SGD$34. 5 persons going = about SGD$6 per person.

The rest we can hooray-hooray.....

this side box is the new design compare to the older one.

 

Is really big and don think can go inbetween cars animore .. looks like 2 big rockets by the side and can fly.
