Bro, sympathize your plight.

But I gotta raise this:

CDI or ECU?

I do not recall the GSR has a CDI.

The immobilizer is connected to the ECU only.

Refer to the attachment below.

To my understanding, its the ECU that controls spark timing.

Now, if its only ECU....

Here's a lobang:

Cant they bypass the immobilizer thing, then call those "key specialist" to make clone key for your bike.

No,

The feature is inbuilt in the ECU.

Kinda difficult to do a bypass.

The immob unit matches with the key. After that, it will send a signal to the ECU to indicate its safe to start.

If so, then cant buy alarm with auto-start functions.. :(

No, you can install an auto-start alarm.

The problem lies with not the immobilizer unit but the clutch.

Remember that you have to clutch in to start the bike?

How to auto-start?

Technically you can. Bridge the clutch switch cable.

But it is suspected it will affect startup in an unknown way....

YEAH!! Got a powerfule magnet out of a fault Harddisk. Now finally I can try and fish out the metal "fuel saver catalyst" out of my tank. I wanna tie string to it so can fish out easily.

Dude u sick up there or sumthing??? *point to head*

hahahahahahah

Not advisable to use string. Imagine the string start to corrode in the tank.

U have small particles in the fuel and that gets pumped to your pistons and u get a heck of a bigger problem...

erm... i may be wrong... but wouldn't the magnet just stick to the insides of the tank since its metal?

and since its a hdd magnet you're going to have hell of a time trying to pull it off

Those polymer material.... sheeesh... Then maybe u mite discover sumthing new. Let the nylon disintegrate in the tank and u mite achieve more mileage.. hahahaha...

Oh yah those magnets are hard to come by.... I shld have kapo the faulty disks at work. hahahaha

Got technique one..

1st, not intended to put inside the tank....magnet external while probing for the metal piece inside.

2nd, me using thin cloth so that can pull off the magnet if it gets in the heat of the action

Hehe... I just cleaned my bike today... first after one month! WoHoooo!

And for those with rear axle sliders... just use the small car jack and you can lift up the rear or front tyre of the bike...

Psst... recommend brand of polish name reflector... recommended by someone who works in the high end furniture line... He used it for chromes, stainless steel... It works wonders and fast man...

My bike looked better than I first pushed it out from Loois... opps... too bad no pics tho...
