GSR Johor Supper Trip

Date: 2nd May (Fri)

Time: Approx. 9pm move off to 2nd Link

Assembly location: Jurong BirdPark carpark

Participants (select date) - contact no.:

1. WildCard (Either date is ok) - 94376964

2. Motofreak (Can only make it on friday  . Got kenduri wed nite.. BUGGER!! I hate it when they plan plan never tell me... Going wif my partner..)

3. Dinie (2nd May. 30th April got guard duty so cannot.) - 91858701

4. Ivikarazi (2nd May) - Prefer to remain anonymous. But if fly aeroplane, will ream a new lobang

5. FZSs (Prefers 2nd May... Cos gonna have a long day on Thurs)

6. realdean w/rozie (prefer Wed as Thur not working...Sat working, but frens' sake Fri also ON  )

7. Helmy23( 2nd May...Thurs having picnic at East Coast)

8. Supersonic (n frenz) (pending a bit on WAG's health)

9. AhGui (Will clear carbon on the causeway)

10. Misbs7(if no short coming)

11. flareon1982 2nd May (Go slow than i go)

12. skateboy (provided not tired down by work)

I have set the meeting place as Jurong BirdPark carpark.

After 8pm, the place can be used to meet up.

Please be there before 9pm.

9pm moving means the group is moving off at 9pm, not meeting up at 9pm.

Anyone late, have to belanja the whole group drinks.

Attached is the map of the location. Please use http://www.can.com.sg or Google Maps if you're not sure of the way to go there.

For those who are not sure of the travelling speed, it will be moderate to accomodate guests on smaller bikes, new riders as well as those running-in.

The distance is about 25km from Jurong BirdPark, the same distance from, say Pasir Ris to Suntec City by ECP.

If, for whatsoever reason, the makan place is closed (I pray hope not), there is an alternative makan-place across the road in the same GP town. Parking space will also be ample and next to the seating area.

So no worries.

The toll needed to be paid is:

Singapore Customs - $0.70 x 2 (go in and return)

M'sia Customs - RM1.60 or about $0.70 also x 2 (go in and return)

Cashcard for Singapore side and cash for M'sia side.

Please change ample cash before meeting up.

Those who have Touch 'N' Go cards can be used.

Cash for the makan is estimated $10 per person if really ordering a lot. But I dun think we will spend that much la.

Wildcard- should we go up all the way to the top of the hill or juz outside Bird Park?

i'll be wearing GSR T-shirt with jacket

i scare flareon? he wun b scared so easily lah. i oso have to try harder for trying to scare him.

u know y dun tell u anot? bcos u r going to measure the road soon. so i let u stalk me then u got something to do instead of measure the road.

original manual of 400 is japanese. english is for 600. if u r looking for the service manual, its 150MB in english. even the service manual is for 600. not 400.

dun think have. its more advisable to change it locally. cos after the malaysia custom, u have to pay the tol already. n petrol station got money changer? i dunno. u need to ask the others.

If change @petrol station there (Esso) they juz give S$1=RM2. Not worth

Just a qn. How much engine oil must we put in the engine whenever we change the EO? With and without changing oil filter. Was told by my mech that 3 litre is enough. Pls advise

Usually when i changed my EO @unique motor with filter, they put in 3.5L

So far.... been looking around johore bahru and just went Gelang patah there... below 100 bucks... rate at 2.26, over 100 2.29...

Singapore a better choice... rate around 2.31, hovering around that area... tho yeah depends on place... Woodlands near causeway there good choice tho...

And jia lat man... I followed my gf father cos he showed me the areas around johore to go, he riding Silverwing... and sigh.... he whacked his bike like speed demon and me, who have never reached 145km/h before until today (and I thought I will get to feel how 120km/h is first) still cannot catch him at the 2nd link there....

tsk tsk... now i feel like 100 also not fast huh...

Now I can comprehend and feel the sensation of whacking the bike as many others who have done it...

Not that I wanted to do it... but if I did travel at 100, think I will not know where to go already...

Cos I would have lost sight of him (and that was my first time on my on vehicle at the second link)

To think my bike has only underwent 3 oil change only... tsk... hopefully (cross fingers)... nothing happens to the bike in the long run...

eh flareon, you jaga your bike better than me right... you can go fast one lah tomorrow... not scary one...:cheeky:

I am sure you are tempted... but oh yeah... forgot... you bringing partner...

but going above 100 onwards from start bridge till toll seems such a short time... Need a race track for better speed thrills...

Ya rite....once hit mark, then slow down use engine braking all the way till customs hahahha...if not, can juz free-wheel to customs.

Oklah I think I also need to....now the engine a bit sluggish. But I won't aim high la. 140km/h is enough for me.

Guys, for tonite, make sure you change enuff before meeting up.

I cannot guarantee a money changer is open there, unlike JB.

There should be one who opens 24 hours, but I cannot guarantee.

Best everyone change enuff for food, toll and petrol.

Bro wats the price for a 2nd hand GSR400?? thinking of getting one...Sweeet bike...

Time and time again people post to ask this thread how much is a GSR. Anyway we won't know, we are not shop. You may wanna visit some bikeshops. Unless there is someone selling, then can ask him how much. As for 1st hand, we can guage around 13k++ - 14k++. If you can get cheaper, its your gain. :)

Anyway should be the same price or more as a Super4 Spec III, for 2nd hand that is.

Flareon, to clear carbon is to actually pull ur throttle all the way and rev all the way up to 12000rpm at every gear..... that is why i need a longer stretch...

Who what where when?

Understand the need for speed. You need to use reflective batons and vests...later cannot see the points to turn.
