The alarm seem temping~...

any1 interested to purchase this alarm~??

wanna purchase together~?? lolx~..

i guess i'm aiming for the 2 way~...

I just installed the alarm which I bought from Tommy at HKL. Have been running around the motorshop to look for a better price to install the alarm, from the most expensive $70 .... to the end ... $35 at HKL. Overall the mechanic has trouble to locate space to put the alarm unit and the siren unit... but in the end, the alarm unit has to be located on top of the ECU, and the siren is placed at the inner space of the exhaust cover ...

The alarm works well so far and I am happy with it so far :)

The normal service workmanship for installing is around $35, but the mechanic is quite kind enough to install this XXX brand of alarm which he himself is not familiar with and furthermore he is patience enough to tahan my barrage of questions about this and that ... plus he fixed the damn rusty screw(involve knocking and cursing and swearing...to get the damn screw out) for the underseat. Overall. I think he quoted extra $5 is reasonable ...

Unless you're good in wiring and have the neccessary tools to cut the wires, then you can DIY. For what I have seen, he needs to identify the wires for the rear signal light, the wire to the ignition and cut the skin of the wire to joing the wire from the alarm unit to them and use wire tape to cover back the exposed wires. The only problem is finding the correct place to put the alarm unit and the siren. Since GSR has very small underseat carriage compartment, it's hard to find or allocate rooms to hold the alart unit and the siren together. For me, I sticked the alarm unit right on top of the ECU and put the siren at the right side exhaust cover(not touching the exhaust of cos!).

I will try to head down to regina to meet up with you guys for the first time ... just hope that other will crop up in my schedule... :cheer:

Oh yeah .... Happy Good Sunday Morning!!!

Cheers,

Cyrix

nope 215pm i'm still at work. i went to regina after i serviced my bike. so long never service spent $400.. sigh but it was worth it.

you dont have to be good in wiring. you just have to use that PM button and search "EJ" and he'll check his appointments for the week. normally for GSR owners, he dont charge. ;)

you need help in DIY-ing, let me know. i've done most of the installation of alarms for the members here. they can vouch for my workmanship.
