*touch wood* ... Choeii ... choeii ... bad luck bad luck to talk about head on collision ... yesterday took a cab from Bird park back home with my kids and saw an accident involving a car and a bicycle ... damn car front was wreaked and bicycle still laying on the road but not much damages... I bet the bicycle rider must have suffered a great deal...:( .... from the impact, can tell that the car is speeding... somemore it's at a neighborhood small traffic junction... DAMNED to those car speed devil ...

You're right about M-Fizz... only outlook nice(which attracted me to buy it at first) ... but for protection wise ... it's 1/10... all I can say is ... cheap plastic :p

Will invest in a good one soon ... :D (Dun poison me ok... my blood already being poisoned by my baby GSR... anymore dosage or poison and I'll go bankrupted)

Review of Caberg V2 407... haha... personally I felt that the helmet is quiet and comfortable, about the weight of my mhr open face. the sun shade is really the buying point of this helmet. Fantastic. Minus point is the clip, not DDring. Matt black is quite hard to maintain because any water marks, fingerprint will be shown on the surface. Any bro got any experience in maintaining the matt black surface?

y now always lavender food court one???

anyway, ur food court spelt wrongly liao...

can we go like old airport road market???

can eat e mattar white pepper crabs...

anyway, i cant join u all for this outing...

too many events happening on this sat liao...

haiz...

then where shd it b? n its the nearest place to go geylang oso. i know the spelling is wrong.

everything u suggest is bcos u wanna go there eat. better still, u wanna find ppl to blanjah u.

i dun expect a large turn out so u cannot turn up is ok one. at least we can eat in peace without bouncing shows.

Because I had made the reverse migration of having my plate transferred from a different place to its present place under the headlight and there was no difference at all?

Old position:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v361/tlrwildcard/HPIM0320.jpg

In Dinie's case, as it turns out he placed it at the fork protectors.

Yes, I'd agree there is significant difference there.

But under the headlight?

I know some of the claims made were of better temperature at normal riding speeds with the removal of the licence plate from below the headlight.

The part that intrigues me is that those temperatures described are almost similar / identical to what I have on my bike at similar riding speeds.

With the exception of Dinie's (riding at 79 deg C or rather below 80 at non-raining / snowing condition is not a rather very good condition).

The only situation where I faced high temperatures are in neck-to-neck traffic jams and slow-moving (30km/h & below traffic) with lots of traffic stops.

So yes, I still question of it.

But like I said, if everyone seems to have found their solution, more power to you guys.

below headlamp, i shd say case to case basis. i oso put below the headlamp but my number plate is tilted so that air restriction is minimised. it must b placed at an angle, parallel to the ground n not perpendicular.

a nice helmet goes very well with the GSR. so its strongly recommanded to get a good one.

wah lister...

u really bought e helmet ar???

how much issit???

now i feel like selling off both my FF helmet, THH n M Fizz one...

n buy e one we tried inside that day...

sell them all n get an arai or shoei. those helmets cannot match that unique design of RC8. a plain white full face helmet will go very well with ur new upcoming white RC8.

Good helmet my Carberg Rhyno but i am having troubling operating it with one hand... it seems tight to flip up and close back nicely...

Oh well... and it doesnt seem to perform well at high speeds... (maybe cos i am comparing it with my AGV stealth)...

The saving grace is that its light... looks good and the sun shade is useful... ahahah...

If only Vemar Jiano is available in Sing and Schuberth is much cheaper...

Just wondering, did you fit your bike with PCIII? Did you change the sprocket size? Or still using the original? Becoz changes made to the bike does matter. Especially sprocket size, this affects the milage and speedometer as GSR takes speed from the engine and not the wheels. That's when speedohealer comes in to correct the speed.

Coz for me at best I can get 320km. All stock and no PCIII. That is no speeding 70-80 km/h (Sleepy Speed)

Nope, everything stock... even for air filter (original suzuki) and sparkplug. No PCIII no change in sprocket size.

thanks for sharing dude. but this is my 2 cents. anyway, don't feel offended by my comment dude, i just sharing. u will have fuel saving now cuz u able to stretch every mile from ur fuel but ur bike will become 'lethargic' as time pass.

as abt warm up, this is what i being taught..... my next 2 cents. to warm up is to slowly build the temp of the bike before load (as in riding) is applied. and also to give enough time for the engine oil to complete circulate through its system. anyway, warm up got to do with thermal stress when high heat being stress on certain material. the gears are always mash together and they are drowing themselves in the engine oil, so by warming up the bike, u warm up the gear too.

anyway this is what my biking bro and me have argue and conclude. the questions as to which is the proper run-in, warm up, whatever setting, engine oil, after market part/accessories, riding posture, riding habits, etc. so this is what we conclude,..... FC@K lah to all, as after 3 to 5 years, we change bike mah.... so ride to whatever style u wan or do whatever style u wan... just as long the bike can last atleast 5 years.... of course ride safely so that u can see what is ur next bike will be... :D

Heh heh very very true... very few ppl will ride their bike more then 5 yrs max. coz bike technology is ever evolution even for the 400cc.

Btw i did a hard run in. don't know if that will improve fuel economy...

I did hard run in as well ... but my FC is totally opposite than yours.... I have average of 17km/litre... last check for FC is 206.6(distance travelled)/12.44(fuel last pumped)=16.61(bad fuel consumption :()

I guess it's the riding habit that contribute to the FC ... for example, I brake alot becos I travel at faster speed than usual... hence at traffic stops, I have to apply brake harder. In theory, if I can ease off my throttle and cruise with neutral, maybe I can save up little by little of fuel ... but I have tried... habits are hard to remove :p

Be like Suzy lah. 500 metre b4 Traffic light put to neutral and let it roll all the way with cars probably horning at the back if u too slow. It saves petrol alot. Tried it b4. Good FC but have to lun ppl horning sometime lah.
