Im about to get er6f at albert. Was wondering if simple parts like clutch cable batt n minor stuff able to get in Singapore. I love kawa but seems like not ao many pple rode it :/ its an 09 model. And wanna knw if legal after market pipes are available? TQ in advance

Hi all! Taking over my dad's 2011 Kawasaki ER6F. Realised the ER6F forum is quite dead, so decided to hijack this thread. Haha.

 

How many local registered ER6N/F are there? So far Ive seen only 2 ER6F. One blue, the other Green. Both like my dad's 2011 design. Then the rest Ive seen are Malaysian registered.

Hi there everyone, i was just wondering if anyone had any engine shut off problems before?? What i'm reffering to is that the engine suddenly dies when riding. I experienced this afew days ago and now the problem is getting worst. Once the engine dies, it cannot be started again until it cools down. then when i ride off it will die again afew minutes later and this will repeat.

 

Okay, so i've sent my bike to a bike shop already and so far they changed the relay, starter coil, battery, spark plug and checked the whole wire harness but the problem seems to presist. The mech noticed that once the engine dies, the spark plug doesnt sparks when ignition is pushed. Sometimes it does and sometimes it doesnt. So now, my mech suspects the ecu is the faulty one.

 

Now the problem is the ecu is very expensive (evershine quote that at least $1k WTF?!) and about 2 months. There are cheaper ones on ebay and i think im definately buying from ebay. But before that, i would like to ask anyone for help if you could lend me your bike to test my ecu first to confirm that the ecu is faulty. I wouldnt want to waste my money if its not faulty. If anyone is willing to help, do drop me a PM. ohh, and ofcourse i could pay you for your trouble of coming down to the bike shop. I could really use the help and would very much appreciate it.

 

Btw i'm riding a 2009 ER6F but same same la hor. Any input or opinion is very much appreciated and thanks in advance!

Had same issues with this model, mech changed to a second hand R6 ecu.
