Erhh..... where you all go? How come the road like that one?

On closer look , i think its bigger than bedok , tampines & changi combined.

.....................................

After taman U shopping, we relaxed in a kopi tiam. Then we suddenly talked about the huge lake we saw on the map. It 's only 58km away, about an hour ride by trunk road. So we decide to explore it. The ride was fun - so few traffic & weather was hot inspite of weather forecast of raining in afternoon.

But instead of going to the big lake we ended up in the smaller ones. Coz I never use my GPS properly to zoomed into the big lake & select the track that leads right to the shore of the big lake.

Next month when we go Taman U again, we 'll visit the big lake again. This time we go from Kulai town - longer but even less traffic.

On the way back, we ate at Kulai Town Yuw Meng restaurant - all those yummy food for just S$10 per person.

Very adventurous , fun & enjoyable trip

See where we were , at the small lake -->

After a hard day of exploration, we had our dinner in kulai town -->

This will be the correct route for next trip to the lake in April-->

So Lawrence and Tim, your cooling issues settled? Still awaiting your feedback after that evening of remedy.

:cheer: mine settle liao. After the flush & replacement with maxima concentrates & 95% distilled water on Thursday , it still wasn't OK on friday on my way to work. On saturday morning on the way to Taman U, the temp improves tremenduously. Its 87degC @ 140km/hr on a very hot afternoon. 85deg at 120km/hr but at 90km/hr , its 91 degC. 87degC @ 140km/hr is better than my stock coolant which had 50% glycool - its about 94deg @140km/hr using stock coolant.

Compared to the condition after my first coolant flushing last week , it was 102degC at 120km/hr & 105deg at 160km/hr.

Perhaps during the second flush, the way Norman squeezes the hose (near the cap) to release the trapped air while also revving the engine & topping up at the radiator cap was also making a difference - the correct workmanship.

I checked my reservoir level last night, it dropped by 4cm. From what I read in the SBF threads, I think that's the normal course , the air pockets were automatically purged out of the radiator system into the reservoir when hot & when cold, the vacuum created by vapor condensation sucks coolant back into the radiator. Hence the reservoir level drops.

And I did't notice any leakages too - to explain for the level drop at the reservoir...

I'll be going to the shop to top up the coolant tonite. Guess I have to continue monitor for next 1 week for any level drop ; again its the normal thing to do after coolant flushing. Temp might improves even more, if more trapped air gets purged out.

I think the removal of the thermostat did not increase noticeably the time to warm up the engine. I think its also a good thing to remove, coz its a potential single point failure which could blocks entirely or restrict flow to the radiator when fouled or failed.

Thank you very much for your attention & good service. I'll definitely will stick to maxima cool aide in future & recommends other people too.
