Option 1:

Pulai Resort(Best 5 star resort in Desaru)

--> Sebana Cove (Marina)->

--> Tanjung Rumaniah (best beach with Chalets)

--> Pengerang (Eat the famous Ramli burger there)

--> Sungei Rengit

--> Kampong Java (Fisherman catch lobsters here - RM20 for 3 pieces of 12" lobster according to my colleague). The riding journey 1 way is 2.5hr by first link.

Longer journey but many stopover for sightseeings, more fun riding trunk roads, more natural sights.

You can see also the choice of color they have here. $35 for significantly enhancing the aesthetic value of bike - is worth.

i heard can change the cushion to gel type one also right... any idea how much will that cost?

in my opinion and understanding...

 

iridium plugs are not meant for city riding... it is more for high speed and touring...

 

with city riding, you will not really feel the full potentials of the iridium plugs. onyl when you whack a bit harder like on track or touring, then the potentials of iridium can be released...

 

so far, for city riding, my best recommendation is NGK platium... the firing is very smooth and riding till 10,000km still good... best value for money, in my opinion... :thumb:

No idea how much, it didn't cross my mind to ask the shop also. Coz I didn't notice any gel like cushion cover or stuff in the shop.

 

Actually I have been hearing bits and pieces of info about gel seat. I heard it can't be exposed to rain - otherwise what I dunno.

 

I also wonder what so good about gel seat. Is it because the gel is water based, so will not get heated up so fast when parked under the sun?

 

Really like to hear from peeps who have gel seats.

i believe the real good of the gel based seat is only realised when you go touring...

Jus wear ur jacket (or rain coat) bring money or credit card and most importance bring ur passport.....

things to bring? I can only think of passports & rain gears. Hope Candy also got rain gear ready.

 

Must get enough sleep, needs good concentration to ride on wavy trunk roads.

 

Optional -

Sunglasses - coz ride for too long under bright sun can make you sleepy.

Wear long sleeve to protect sunburn.

Gloves

Armoured jacket

wear shoes for safety

 

Stuff I bring for sharing:-Tire repair kit, CO2 inflator. Anti-fog spray for helmet visor & glasses.

 

Btw...we'll eat breakfast in JB itself after meeting up.

i was told by a colleague that he bought live lobsters in Pengerang, wrapped in newspaper , and took a ferry back to Changi. The lobster was still alive when he reached home. I wonder if this is really true. Coz thot of bringing some home too.

Not sure if you are in time to read this Alan, but I think Tim went to sleep already. Call him first thing in the morning, try something like 7:15 AM and confirm with him, but it should still be at the Marsiling MRT taxi stand. I do believe he provided his phone number, so yeah.

Indeed it was good weather thru out, not a single drop of rain. No heavy traffic.

5 bikers & 2 pillions. 1 BMW tourer bike, 2 S4, 1 Boldor & 1 Phantom 150. It was quite fun & we get to see what Si Wan Tao (Sungei Renggeit ) is like. Couldn't find the place where they catch lobsters. Not too sure whether Pengerang is the stretch of shop houses we passed through. Coz some of the "towns" are really very small. Lots of pictures taken at the Desaru beach, Sebana Cove & Pulai Desaru Resort. Will be posting pics & video by Monday.
